Bittersweet Revenge | Modern Cheating Plot

Notes: Please be advised that this plot involves themes of cheating, possessiveness/jealousy, obsession, coercion, and possible blackmail.

Character A has been in a relationship with the love of her life for seven years. The two were high school sweethearts and even though they are going to different colleges, she knew that they were going to be together forever. With her studying to become a pharmacist, and him going to school to be a lawyer the two of them have always been seen as a sort of powerhouse couple. So many of their friends would sing their praises and express their jealousy over the healthy, open, and happy relationship. She was living happily in bliss.

That is until she gets a random “Hey Girlie” text one day from an unknown number telling her about how her boyfriend is cheating on her with a fellow classmate. Her entire world crumbles down around her with the proof the anonymous number sends her. Pictures of the two of them together in very intimate and compromising positions, and even videos in which they kiss. It was almost like her boyfriend was living a double life. At first she is absolutely devastated by this information, but then she gets angry. She remembers his childhood best friend she had met a dozen times or so. An extremely attractive man who comes from a rich family that he could live a lavish life without ever actually having to work. Despite the two of them being friends, her boyfriend had always expressed a bit of jealousy over how easy life seemed to be for him. Women would throw themselves at him and with his family’s wealth he could do whatever he wanted.

She decided that she would get revenge on her boyfriend by sleeping with Character B, his childhood best friend. If she took pictures with him and could show her boyfriend when she broke up with him, it would make it all the more sweet. Character B is a man who lives life like a big party. He has known about her boyfriend not being faithful for a long time, so when Character A texts him out of the blue he is intrigued. He agrees to meet her and when she starts to try and flirt with him he quickly puts on the brakes. He isn’t interested in getting involved in drama, nor does he really want to have the responsibility of trying to make her feel better because of her sh*tty relationship. It probably would have ended there if she wouldn’t have told him that she wanted him to be her revenge lay. That simple statement made Character B rethink his entire stance. How interesting.

Character B agrees to do this and the two of them sleep together. Something that was supposed to be only a one time thing starts to spiral out of control as the two of them just can’t seem to get enough of one another. The plan of telling her boyfriend starts to get lost within the mess as the two of them become more and more intwined with one another.
