Dark themes and immersive plots—

NotTooSweet replied to NotTooSweet's topic

Male/Masc identifying characters preferred but others /might/ be considered. Check out the plots and prompts in my blog. Very open to suggestions and building a plot from scratch.

Looking for motivated partners who communicate and want to write a good /story/. Don't care about "you as a person"—just "you as a writer". 22 is not my age—it is how long I have been RPing online. There is little I haven't explored, so I am very open and flexible.

There is no pressure about post length, just quality. Posts should add to the story. Pacing is important. If the scene is spent, move on to the next scene. Don't be shy about discussing where to take things, plot points are a good thing.

Pretty much always on—so don't be shy.

[Pet Sitting] MxMasc IxMasc

NotTooSweet replied to NotTooSweet's topic

YC's best friend [open to other means of relation] recently started talking about some new pet they had gotten, YC has yet to see it—not even pictures. Something has come up and YC's friend has to go away [work, family, whatever] and asks YC if he would be willing to take care of this new pet for them while they are away...
Now I have two thoughts for this:
1. The pet turns out to be a person! As it turns out YC's best friend has decided to take on someone who is a "lifestyle pet".
2. The pet as it turns out /is/ the friend!
—in everything MC will not behave as a "people", 100% dedicated to his role as a pet. I am open to suggestions for what kind of animal MC is portraying and to what extent. [I am NOT into full fursuits for this, sorry, it would just be highly impractical; and I would rather just go with him being anthro.]
▹Details need to be fleshed out.
▹▹Species/race, world setting.
▹▹▹Societal dynamics.
▹Obviously we will need to discuss expectations.
▹▹I am open to how ever you decide to have YC handle the situation, but you will have to accept that there are /wrong ways/ and that is part of the fun—conflict, drama...dark themes. And as always, ideas are welcome~
▹If you are interested in swapping roles I may be willing—won't hurt to ask.

[MxMasc] ᴺᴼᵂ ᴾᴸᴬᵞᴵᴺᴳ : JUST ONE MORE KISS

NotTooSweet replied to NotTooSweet's topic

[rough concept] MC is generally reclusive; agoraphobic. He is a 'dere and will use technological means to isolate YC, who he is obsessing over. Either he can /abduct/ YC or arrange for YC to move in with him—room for rent that happens to be exactly what YC is looking for, and so affordable. :D
Additionally we could go with a more corporate setting where MC is forced to go into the office rather than work from home as he always has done...
▹Details need to be fleshed out.
▹▹Species/race, world setting.
▹▹▹MC favours /manly men/ with a kind disposition and good manners...no obsessive interest in "bad boy" types; he would sooner "unalive" them. MC is originally a "vampire" but can be human, it changes nothing about him. [FtM and Masc non-binary are valid options for YC]
▹Twists are welcome. [Love a good "tables have turned" scenario.]
▹You need to be clear about anything that is off limits; I will do the same.
▹▹There WILL be gore. I have run this as only alluding to it, but I hate doing that... MC has atypical arousal; gore /is/ his "smut".
▹▹▹If you want there to be "traditional lewdness" YC will have to initiate and even force it on MC.

Looking For Mature Literate Casuals [MDNI]

NotTooSweet replied to NotTooSweet's topic

I am mostly curious if there are any on this site. Seems like most people are one-liners or people who can't be bothered to give grammar a fighting chance. Noticed a rare few who seem to be competent but they appear to be a bit up their asses; demanding more than a full properly structured paragraph during a scene of two characters sitting alone in a room talking. Ridiculous.

If you consider yourself a "literate casual"; someone who believes in grammar and punctuation. But also understands that the quality of a post matters more than the length, because different situations require different kinds of responses. [Kind of like with the real world.] Then please, please! I would love to even just chat.

The promise of a good story with a competent partner can sway me from my preferences. Just because I have a greater liking for something over another or others - doesn't mean I dislike or am opposed to those other options. Seems like people have forgotten or are just unaware of what "preference" means...

I'm not really into purely happy fluffy stuff, but I have to problem with having it along with my inclination toward darker themes. Humor /is/ listed among my genre preferences for a reason, to show I /do/ enjoy some lighter themes. If everything is always dark and miserable, what's the point?

And I am not really all the big on /sex/, it just seems to be what everyone assumes Adult Themes and NSFW means. Which it isn't! That is very narrow minded thinking and it is getting tiresome! Strong language, violence, drug/alcohol use, traumatic events, etc.. These are Adult Themes/NSFW. Get your brains out of the gutter people, and keep it in your damned pants!

Also, not all kinks are sexual. This is another narrow minded bit of BS that is getting old fast. There are many healthy and kink filled relationships out there in the world, right now, that aren't based around sex. It is not the end all be all of a relationship. Frankly it just kind of feels like a cop out most of the time in roleplay.

- "Ah gee, I dunno how to have more bonding and growth between our characters, guess it time for them to sex" -

So. Yeah. I would love to meet some mature literate folk who don't mind having casual fun writing stories...

This is a thing? [Do people even read these?]

NotTooSweet replied to NotTooSweet's topic

Hello there mortal~

New to site, or should I call it a "cesspool"? Really, though I have managed to find a few worthwhile individuals, and hope to encounter more! I am more than happy to just chat with pleasant people, sensible individuals. Those possessing some semblance of decorum and commonsense are preferable. After years of roleplay I have come to terms with the fact that my adventurous experimentalist preferences aren't for everyone, so I tend to set my bar of expectations at whatever my partners are comfortable with.

While I do prefer darker delves, I also enjoy exploring coping mechanisms. [TBH the big draw to RP for me is just how cathartic it is. It has helped me a lot with coming to terms with IRL stuff that is beyond my control.] My preference for a story is to be well detailed and provoke some thought. As good as "candy" may be, it is not a main course.

It has been amazing, jaw dropping really, just positively staggering the number of people who seem to be under the impression that NSFW and Adult Themes are only sex, that triggers are only violence or generally offensive topics and situations. If you are an individual who understands there is more to it than /that/, I would probably enjoy chatting with you.

Now, I would warn against any minors engaging with me, for the simple fact that I have no filter. I am brash and can come across as rude and often say inappropriate things and overshare. [If you are thinking to yourself, "Well gee, wonder if this wackado is on the spectrum -". WELL, Have I got news for you. I am. Words, writing, RP, these are my hyperfixation. There is purpose, rules and I know what to expect - or, what /should/ be expected. The decline of literacy has not done well for my mind.]

Think that'll be all for now. Ta-ta.
