Woody's Roundup: Toy Story Hear Me Out... (MxF)

(Story loosely inspired by that of Johnny Cash and Mr. Rogers)

Sort of got this idea based on the new Buzz Lightyear movie coming out. Basically, it's about a struggling actor in the 40's or 50's who has a hard time finding parts. Until he lands a lead role in a small family friendly Television series as a host, a Cowboy named Woody. Initially he takes the role begrudgingly, but slowly begins to enjoy the affect he and the rest of the cast have on viewers around the country.

While doing the show he meets other cast members of course, of which is an up-and-coming actress who has been in showbusiness since she was a kid; she lands the role of Jessie, an upbeat an energetic cowgirl. Her being much more practiced and talented, she shows him the ropes and their friendship begins to blossom from their interactions as cast members. Though she is initially guarded and prefers to focus on her acting career.

The story would go from before the show starts up until the show's cancelation and even to a bit before the first Toy Story.

(Themes of mental health, very slightly deals with the topic alcoholism, and perseverance)

Reese moved to the city from his parent's house in the suburbs, two years prior before totally flunking out and loosing his full ride scholarship, due to his increasingly distracting anxiety. Distracted and depressed he decided to take a "gap year" to figure things out and moves back to his hometown to stay with his Aunt and Uncle. There, he sees some familiar faces, including a girl he hadn't seen since he moved away in 7th grade. She was always a free spirit, and a thrill seeker. Maybe he should take a page from her book...
