She and Zhan are indeed investigating more regarding Ziam's matter, also in the North from time to time. It is not herself going there and investigate but she always sends someone.
She goes to check from time to time though. She meets with Zhan in the North, it is evening and they are in a forest nearby the Shadowmoor city to talk. In the night near the borders there are always strange sounds, but they are far from the danger, the border is still patroled by Hunters.

But sometimes, not even they can contain the werewolves. In particular the youngest, which are also the strongest and hardest to control. That evening, a werewolf kills the Hunter on his way, managing to break in. Of course there is a massive alarm and many rush to look for the werewolf.
It gets insanely close to the city, coming across Zhan and Peng. Being totally impossible to control, it attacks them right away. They defend themselves of course but without having anything to be able to pierce that skin, it is pretty much impossible to fight.
In barely five minutes from the beginning, the werewolf jumps on Peng, making four very deep cuts on her chest and belly with the huge claws.
It is in that moment that a Hunter arrives. Dorian himself finds the werewolf and kills it in no time. He approaches Zhan and kneels immediately near Peng.
