　❥ now labeled as lost media, 'broken melodies: jisung's story' was a 3d rhythm game/visual novel/dating simulator set to be released february 5th, 2002.

　❥ the game was about a regular citizen (customizable as either a girl, boy, or nonbinary) who got caught up in a heart-fluttering romance with the genius idol, park jisung. the game was set to be the first in an idol dating game franchise named '7 dreams' but after the cancelation of the game, nothing else was heard of it.

　❥ over 100 songs had been recorded as a part of the franchise's promotional material and soundtrack. unbeknownst to people, some of them have made it into jisung's official discography as an idol.

　❥ there's no way i can explain how exactly jisung stopped being more than pixels on a screen, but one night, something happened to his developers's computers and when they woke up, jisung was there - living, breathing, and unsure of what to do.

　❥ jisung, the idol, not the game character, officially debuted august 25, 2016.

　❥ as of february 2025, he's sold over 20.8 million physical albums in korea, 6.7 million in japan, and 98 million digital singles. in 2018, he was given the titles of south korea's national treasure and genius idol.

　❥ jisung's official fandom is named asteroids. his official color is dreamy red.

　❥ over the years, comparisons have been made to jisung, the idol, and jisung, the game character, especially when his hair is red. it's good variety content, as jisung explains what a strange coincidence it is, and that he's never heard of the game in his life. in fact, no one even knows how the game goes.
