ONE LAST TW BEFORE READING BELOW
Mallory's life was relatively normal as a kid, she had a happy family, she went to school, she had friends, the usual. But when she was around 9, she started hearing things. She heard voices speaking to her, and she didn't really like it. She told her parents, but they just brushed it off as her having imaginary friends. A few days later, she started seeing things as well, figure in the darkness, things hiding in the shadows. She kept begging her parents to fix it, but they just kept brushing it off. One day, one of the voices told her something. "Your mother will die in 5 days." it said to her. She tried to ignore it and brush it off like her parents did, and she ended up forgetting about it. 5 days later, she was riding in the car with her mom, to go to the store. But, on the way someone ran a red light and crashed right into the car Mallory and her mother were in. Her mother didn't survive the accident. Since that day, Mallory was terrified of the voices and figures she saw. They predicted her mother's death. Over the years she learned more about what she was seeing. She realized she had the ability to see ghosts. The ghosts always looked how they did when they died. Some were elderly, some were sick, some had horrible injuries, like stab wounds or even a severed head. She hated having this ability. It scared her, and made her feel like she was crazy. Sometimes she would meet nice ghosts, but they were pretty rare to come across. As she got a bit older, she started using alcohol to quiet the voices of the dead. Every time she was drunk, she couldn't hear them, and that was the most relieving feeling in the world. She got addicted to alcohol quickly, and now uses it regularly. She had met people from all walks of life and people who died in hundreds of ways. But what hurt her the most, is that she never saw the ghost of who she missed most. Her mother.
Plot Ideas for this Character:
-A party was thrown, everyone in the dorm building was invited, including you and Mallory. Mallory didn't really want to go, but her friend eventually convinced her to. It was fun, and there was a lot of drinking and smoking. Mallory stayed away from the drugs, but couldn't resist drinking a bit. One cup turned to two, then three, then ten. Most people were too high or drunk to go home, and crashed at the house the party was at. Mallory passed out on the couch. By morning most everyone was gone, except for you and her. You're about to leave when you see her sleeping. She would be the last one here after you were gone. Should you really leave her here in a house she doesn't know while she's hungover?
-You're someone who's died recently. You still can't believe your life is over. You're stuck roaming a school dormitory as a spirit, and you decide to have some fun with it. You go into a random girl's dorm, and start messing around. Moving things, making noises, etc. She's on her laptop, presumably doing homework. You're trying to get a reaction out of her, but she seems to be ignoring you for the most part. You knock something big over and she looks up from her laptop straight at you with an annoyed look. Can she see you?
-You're in class taking a test when Mallory suddenly stands up and runs out of the room. The teacher asks someone to check on her and you volunteer. You find her in the bathroom locked in a stall, having a panic attack. What could be wrong with her? How could you make her feel better?
