Enemies or Friends

In the land of Amn lie two kingdoms, ever close to war and yet holding a fragile peace; their military strength at an equal. Their only boundary a ten mile wide forest, from the foot of the northern kingdom to the feet of the southern kingdom that stretches thirteen thousand miles east to west.

The kingdom to the North, Regor, lies against the Snowcapped Mountain Range and thrives in the harsh environ through sheer strength and willpower. Their culture is an industrial giant, creating many technological advances such as the use of coal, steam and gunpowder, all things they could produce themselves from the bounties of the mountain. They pride themselves on their military strength and the ability to survive in such harsh conditions. Magic is outlawed in the kingdom of Regor much to the chagrin of the Southern Kingdom.

The Kingdom to the South, Silverymoon, lies on the edge of the Shimmering sea. The living is easy and fortuitous for the people who live there. They fish from the ocean and harvest the fruit trees that grow in the tropical climes. They pride themselves on their arcane magical abilities, each and every citizen gifted with the talent that grows with training and study. Magic is the way of life in Silverymoon and this allows them to live in a state of measured comfort and luxury.

In order to keep the peace between the two kingdoms, aside from knowing that neither could win a war without great cost to their own kingdoms, a treaty has been negotiated and is re-evaluated every generation by the new Prince or Princess on the day of their twentieth birthday. In this royal hostage sort of situation, the prince or princess of each kingdom are traded and live with the opposite kingdom for five years. In this time, the 'royal diplomat' negotiates the terms of the treaty, updating it but also doing a subtle assessment of the kingdom's military strength so that both kingdoms are insured that the other isn't growing too powerful.

It is the twentieth birthday of the royal heirs and time to execute the trade once more. The heirs are guided onto their designated airships and locked in their cabins, for safety and privacy. As the airships take off and glide across the forest, the royal guards prepare to meet the other airship. As the ships reach the middle of the border wood and hover near one another, spells explode against the side of the Regor ship and almost at the same time, rifles bark and bullets thud against the sides of the Silverymoon ship. As the battle rages, both sides firing on one another, the ships begin to flail in the air, spinning out of control until they crash into the canopy of the forest.

Each heir emerges from their cabins, the doors having broken open in the crash, each one not knowing who fired the first shot but finding the torn and mutilated bodies of the royal guardsmen laying all about. It is quickly apparent that the two heirs are now alone, together in the forest, their fates to be decided by themselves. What will they do and how will they survive.

-I will be DMing the story as your character reacts with mine as I play the heir of Regor.
-This has a strong potential to be a romance story, like romeo and juliet in a different time period.
-I don't want one-liners and I do want some creative contribution to play off of.
-Friend request and message me if you are interested in roleplaying this story with me.)
