Alex comes from a wealthy family. He has always had access to the best education and opportunities, but he works hard to make a name for himself. Of course, he was given these opportunities, his father is the emperor's brother. He met his wife, Reylinn, at her debut ball at 14. Reylinn had turned 11 at the time. Despite the age difference, they fell in love and waited until Reylinn was of legal age to get married.

Though his love for her withered over time, when Iris appeared, he was instantly smitten by her beauty and "innocence." After a while of having an affair with Iris, he finally introduced her to Reylinn, who was shocked that her first love would do something so unspeakable to her.
