He goes back to the suite in New York, where he finds a literal dump of McDonald's boxes and endless toys. He is not surprised to find that situation.
Chan sends the kids to pack their things and approaches WooPil, to tell him the news.
They stand in front of each others, near the couch. «I have something to tell you, babe…»
WooPil's already wet and red eyes move up to cross his, showing a certain worry already.
Chan stares in his eyes for some moments, like stunned. He simply doesn't manage to speak any word while looking at him like that.
«Did something happen…?» asks WooPil after some time, forcing Chan to snap out of that stunned state.
«I… wait a second…» He runs to his own backpack and takes something that he actually had prepared a long time before. It's something he intended to do during the holiday in New York, but everything got on his way.
He returns to WooPil and takes his hand, while holding something behind his back in the other hand.
«Lee WooPil… will you… marry me?» Chan moves his other hand and opens it, showing two rings.
WooPil's eyes widen so much at the news, like in shock.
«I know that it's not the most romantic proposal ever… I wanted to do better… but it came this way now…»
WooPil jumps in his arms. «I want to!»
When everything is packed, he opens the portal to lead WooPil and the children to the safe location where they are going to stay at.
He helps them all to settle in their rooms then intends to go to speak to Zhao about his change of mind right away, feeling that it was the right thing to do, for WooPil's sake.

He is all happy for the engagement and keeps looking at the ring in his finger, while being sat on the stairs by himself.
That's when he hears a couple of servants gossiping around about the fact Chan is looking for Zhao. How "the prince of Lianxi is already visiting the King in his quarters even before they get married" and other stuff like that. He gets up and follows the servants to ask them about the matter and one of them confirms to him that Chan and Zhao are going to get married soon.
Needless to say that the revelation breaks his heart in a thousand pieces. First Chan cheated on him with Hudie and now he is getting married to Flesh. He feels completely betrayed and like the marriage proposal he just received was a total mockery, since he is getting married to the King.
Without too many thoughts, he writes some hasty words on a paper - in hangul -, wraps the ring inside if it and leaves it on the bed of his room.
Taken his backpack with few belongings, he sneaks out of the building and runs away from the place, without even knowing where to. Only Snek with him.
