Joji is a kind hearted captain of the gotei 13. He was sent to the academy when his mother discovered that he had killed his father in a fit of rage when he couldn't stop bullying him into being a warrior. Now he is one of the captains in the gotei 13.

Zanpakuto: Shinkaio (Deep sea king)

Shikai: He points his sword down and says "Drown, Shinkaio". The blade will be wrapped in water then disperse to reveal a trident that controls water.

Bankai: Emperor of the Deep Abyss. A very dangerous and powerful bankai. The trident disappears as the world seemingly goes dark. The world is enveloped in water. This bankai simulates the deep sea, putting an immense pressure on who ever is caught in the bankai even if the spiritual pressure doesn't overwhelm the opponent. They are surrounded by water but still able to breathe. This bankai makes it difficult to perform any type of move whether it would be ki or not. There are also mysterious creatures inside this bankai that not even Joji knows are there. This bankai is extremely dangerous to all and no one is safe except for Joji who is the Shinkaio...
