｡ mother(Lisa)- he and his mother were close when Austin was a kid, they spent a lot of time together mainly just to get away from Austin’s dad. They made their own little family. But when Austin was 10 she couldn’t take it anymore and killed herself on anti-depressants.
｡ father (Carl)- verbally and physically abusive to both Austin and his mother. He and his wife seemed like the perfect couple, she was very pretty and he was typically ‘hot’ but his true colours started to show once they got married.
｡ step mother(Marissa)- his dad went through a lot of girlfriends soon after his wife’s death but got a new girlfriend when Austin turned 17 that stuck. She was an angel to everyone but Austin and branded him as the black sheep of the family.
｡ step brother(Matthew)- when Carl moved in with Marissa Austin was forced to as well, she had a son around his age who seemed fine at first. He and Austin talked a few times and he believed there might be a silver lining to all this if he had a friend. Though it didn’t last long as one night Matthew snuck into Austin’s room and forced him to have sex with him, after that Austin got a lock for his door and avoided him, though every so often, he can’t escape his actions.
｡ Half sister(Delilah)- Delilah is Carl and Marissa’s daughter, she’s almost one and she is the most annoying child Austin’s ever met. He didn’t hate kids but he hated this one.

Austin is very upbeat and outgoing among friends. His friend group is quite big and he loves hanging out with them, he does practically every day. He’s always seen with a smile on his face and has a bouncy personality. His friends often come to him for support or help and he is good at comforting his friends and getting them through tough times. Though he doesn’t give anything in return, honestly if he actually asked one of his friends to list the things they knew about him the list would be very short. But they don’t notice, Austin kind of tricked them into believing they knew him as well as they could. Behind the mask of his personality he is a shell of a man, he despises his home life but can’t escape it. He self harms pretty regularly which is why he never wears short sleeves. One time he accidentally went too far and ended up in the hospital, though they just gave him some anti- depressants and a few therapy sessions before sending him home, where he continued to self harm. Of course, his friends knew nothing about this. The medication only reminded him of his mother’s death which if anything made his mental state worse, he hardly ever took his pills. Along side that, he’s a bit of a sex addict. He’d f*** anyone who’d have him, he just wanted to feel something and to be wanted for at least that one moment. Obviously, the rumours soon spread which was most likely what made his step brother think he had the right to f*** him even though Austin desperately tried to get away.
