Plot Idea: Two Sides of the Same Coin (Fantasy/Dra

Nobles are always expected to be in top form to be able to keep the Great Empire safe. As such, a pair of children (YC/MC), one the heir to the title of the duke family of Linpnir and the other their young servant and friend, are raised in this mindset. The young heir is set on becoming the most powerful mage in their family history, and the servant wanting to stand by them. Over time, the two study and grow very close. Then, tragedy strikes.

Children take an magic aptitude test at the age of 15, and as the pair take their test, the result throws things into chaos. The heir has no magic ability at all, while the young servant child has the incredible talent for magic. The servant is taken away to be a mage for the military. The heir dies from grief and sickness, and it seems as if the servant must cope.

After their training, the servant is sent to the never ending war of the continent. Yet, somehow, they see the childhood friend they thought was dead. From childhood friends to enemies on the other side of the war, their story begins.

Notes:
-We can pick which character we want to be, and they can be any gender
-There’s a lot of world building involved as well as side characters (it’s a setting with a lot of people)
