Bennet McKinnon

“But the youngest brother’s arm remained a swan’s wing, for his sister had not finished his shirt of nettles…”

[Based off of the fairy tale “The Wild Swans” by Hans Christian Anderson, which can be read here: hca.gilead.org.il/wild_swa.html]

Name: Bennet “Ben” McKinnon
Age: 26
Species: Human
Gender: Male (He/Him)
Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance:
Height: 5’11
Hair color: Long blonde hair, usually tied back in a bun
Eye color: Hazel
Body: About average height, lean, but with developed shoulder muscles from archery (he uses an adapted bow that allows him to shoot one handed). He is entirely human, except for his left arm, which remains a swan’s wing after the curse that was placed upon him and his brothers. Just below the shoulder, his arm smoothly transitions to feather and wing.

Relationships: His ten brothers (of which he is the youngest) and one younger sister, Eliza. His father, the king, and his stepmother (since banished after it was found that she had cursed his brothers and him).

Songs:
In a River - Rostam
The Wrote & The Writ - Johnny Flynn

Bio: Ben is one of the eleven princes of Strathclyde, the youngest sibling apart from his sister, Eliza, who he is very affectionate for. Eliza was the one who initially freed him and his brothers from a curse that trapped them as wild swans, though she had not completed his shirt of nettles in time to free him entirely — where the left sleeve was missing, a swan’s wing remained. Ben is able to work around this, however, and it is generally treated as a normal disability around the castle. However, to other kingdoms, Ben’s “remnant curse” left him as somewhat of an outcast to the royal kingdom, and it was implicitly known that he would never marry, nor find a suitor who could look past the curse’s influence.
