Plots

2. (monster) Muse A isn't human. In fact, they're considered a monster by humanity when they're really just a (species name.) They find themselves at the edge of a new town one day, and they are surprised to be greeted by Muse B, a resident of the town who doesn't believe in monsters. Muse A and Muse B begin to create a friendship, defending each other and sharing their lives. Maybe, with enough evidence, they can stop the stereotype that Muse A is a monster!

3. (gratitude) Muse A is homeless, always having to steal food and dumpster-dive. Muse B is rich and has their dream life, but the two have something in common- they’re lonely. One day, Muse B catches Muse A going through their trash cans, and takes pity on the poor soul. They hire Muse A and pay them with good meals and a roof over their head. Eventually, the two become friends.

4. (opposites attract) Muse A is a demon, living in hell their entire life. Muse B is an angel, a messenger from heaven. One day, the two meet by chance, the angel is trying to give a message to someone the demon is taking to hell for eternal damnation. The two opposites become friends after a fight and meet up several more times, despite the law that prohibits angels and demons to be friends. One day, the queen angel finds out about this and throws Muse B out of heaven, sending them crashing to Earth with their wings still attached. Muse A witnesses this and rescues Muse B, taking them to the fiery depths of hell to protect them from harm.

5. (forbidden love) Muse A and Muse B both go to the same place every day- a wide, open field full of wild flowers. Both have been coming there for a while, but they hadn’t said a word to each other at all until today. They begin to talk to each other, and quickly become friends and eventually begin to have feelings for each other. However, the town they live in is full of homophobes, and when their romance goes public it’s too much for anyone to handle. Muse A and Muse B are persecuted and separated by their parents...will they find each other and run away, or will the heartbreak destroy them?

6. (the wishing tree) Muse A transfers a young tree to their backyard, and every day after school/work/etc they sit under it and practice one of their hobbies. When they sit under the tree, they think of a wish- a wish for someone to be friends with. A few days later, they meet Muse B in school/work who offers to take them out to lunch, and the two become fast friends. It seems the tree has granted a wish.

7. (that isn't right) Muse A and Muse B are opposites in school. Muse A is hated, bullied and ignored. Muse B is one of the popular crowd, well-liked. One day Muse B's friend group decides to have some 'fun' with Muse A. The group decides to kidnap A and beat them up. Muse B pretends to go along with it, but then tries to protect Muse A and help them escape. Will this be the start of a friendship, or will it be the death of two students?

8. (rainy day) Muse A is a singer/songwriter who is gaining popularity on the internet. Muse B, one of their fans, looks up to them greatly and aspires to be like them someday. One rainy day, the two run into each other under a small shelter and strike up a conversation. As the storm gets worse, it looks like they'll be stuck there for a while- but at least they have each other for company.

9. (fix me?) Muse A is broken, abused, and has never known real love or the feeling of being cared for. That all changes when they meet Muse B, who is performing on the streets to try and earn a little extra money. The music draws Muse A in and they find themselves coming back whenever they can to hear the music and talk to Muse B. The two begin to become close friends, but the real question is...can Muse B free Muse A from their abusive home life, and can they teach Muse A what it's like to be truly loved?

11. (virtual love) You met someone online, and you’ve been chatting with each other for two years. The two of you decide to meet up, and they come to your town and show up at your house just for you. After a week together, you realize you have strong feelings for this person, and wonder if they feel the same.

12. (you and beautiful world) Muse A is homeless, but they’re managing to get by. They have a job. It’s minimum wage, but it gives them enough money to buy some new clothes every now and then. They have a blanket that traps at least a little bit of warmth. They have a friend or two, and okay grades.
Muse B, however, is different. They’re rich, very rich. Everything is served to them on a silver platter, including their life. Their parents are controlling and possessive and abusive, and Muse B spends as much time away from home as possible.
Muse A and Muse B are paired together for an important school project. They become fast friends, and one day Muse A learns the truth about Muse B’s parents. The next day, they take Muse B with them after school and take them around the city, showing off all the beautiful places that are full of nature. Muse B enjoys this, and they’re smiling when they finally get home.
Muse A desperately wants to take Muse B away from their abusive parents and give them a happy life.

13. (distance) Muse A and Muse B are dating, and they’ve been in a committed relationship for almost a year. There’s only one problem: it’s a long-distance relationship, which isn’t good for Muse A’s anxiety. Muse B video-calls Muse A every night to check in, and when they announce that they’re flying home in two days, Muse A is suddenly excited as heck. (optional extra: However, when Muse B arrives, they find out that Muse A got into a car crash on their way to pick up Muse B from the airport. The injuries aren’t the worst, but Muse A might need a bit of help.)

14. (the things you deserve) Muse A and Muse B are twins, and quite opposite. Muse A is outgoing, friendly, and kind, although they have a few issues that they mostly keep hidden. They're short, definitely not the cutest, but they have their circle of friends that they get coffee with. Muse B is a bit quieter but still seems nice, mostly making friends with the help of their twin. However, Muse B is also controlling and abusive to their friends, guilt-tripping them and forcing them to do things behind closed doors. They're taller, prettier, and not very well-known. Muse C meets both of them and falls in love with Muse B's sweet-seeming personality, unaware of their hateful tendencies. Muse C asks Muse B out and the two begin to date, and Muse A has to convince Muse C that it's a terrible idea. Optional to this plot is the idea of Muse A falling in love with Muse C, and that love can be returned or not.

15. (happiness of the past) Muse A used to be a singer. Not one of the most popular ones, but a good singer nonetheless. One day, however, they suddenly disappeared. Nobody knows what happened to them or where they are. Muse B was Muse A’s biggest fan in the good old days, and they still haven’t stopped looking for Muse A. One day, the two meet by chance in a coffee shop. Muse B tries to get Muse A back on the stage, and tries to win Muse A’s heart while they’re at it.

16. (icing) Muse A works at a bakery after school and on weekends, because they don’t want to go home and be completely alone with nobody around. Muse B walks around town randomly after school, not wanting to face the issues going on at home (abuse, parents fighting, whatever you want). Muse B walks into the bakery one afternoon and can’t help but stare at the intricate patterns Muse A is painting on a cake. A catches B staring and starts a conversation, and the two become fast friends. Will they reveal their secrets to each other and help find solutions?

17. (secret letters) It was supposed to be the best summer ever. However, Muse A was dumped the minute school was over for the year. On top of that, it was the rudest breakup they'd ever experienced. Down in the dumps, they go home and decide to spend the summer in their room, watching Netflix and Youtube and sleeping. However, one day they find a mysterious note slipped under their window. The notes keep coming, each one holding an inspirational quote and a sentence to try and cheer Muse A up. Eventually, Muse A sets a trap and catches Muse B, the person who was leaving the letters. Muse A decides to open up a bit, and that maybe this summer isn't so cold after all.

18. (christmas miracles) Muse A is alone, and trapped at home with a broken ankle. They have nobody to spend Christmas with, and it's hard to get outside or go anywhere. But when Muse B, their neighbor, shows up at the door with cookies, hot cocoa, and an invitation to Christmas dinner, it's hard to decline. With a sudden spark of kindness, the night seems to glow.

19. (childhood) A mysterious box arrives at Muse A's doorstep one day, containing a photo album and airplane tickets, along with a note saying the trip is to 'an old friend's house'. The photo album is full of photos of Muse A and their childhood friend, Muse B, doing everything together. It's a risky move, but Muse A decides to take the trip and go visit their childhood friend.

20. (just be friends) Muse A is in love with their Muse B, but Muse B doesn't love A back and is in the middle of a long, emotional breakup with A. Muse C is Muse A's closest friend. C has a crush on A, and will do anything in their power to make sure A is okay during this time.

21. (stargazer) Muse A goes outside and to the park every night, and they lie on top of the big hill and talk to the stars about their problems and their struggles. Muse B goes for a walk every night to clear their mind, and one night they pass by the hill and overhear Muse A. Every night after that, Muse B starts leaving little things for Muse A to try and cheer them up.

22. (a sky full of stars) Muse A has gone to the same summer camp for 4 years now. Muse B is at the summer camp for the first time, and just happens to be in Muse A’s cabin. The two are the first ones from their cabin to arrive at camp, and they immediately get along and decide to be bunkmates. They go on crazy adventures together and have plenty of water (and pillow) fights. (Optional: They fall in love and after dark, sneak out of the cabin and stand under the starry sky together)

23. (all of a sudden) Muse A is a bartender, and Muse B is a musician who doesn’t have very many fans. One night, Muse B’s significant other dumps them in a ridiculously hurtful way, and B decides to drink their sorrows away. They end up flirting with A, who just happens to be one of their fans, and the two go home together. The next morning, B wakes up in bed, tucked in comfortably, with A passed out on top of the covers next to them. They start talking over breakfast and get to know each other a little more.
