Deadwood Saloon Rules and Regulations

I apologize for having to write something like this, but there seems to be a prevalent problem with etiquette and expectations on this site. If you were referred to here by me, I suggest you read this carefully. I do not mean to offend, but there are things that I cannot abide by while I am RPing here.

1. No one-liners. I expect at least a paragraph, because that is what I will always try to give you (minimum). 

2. Do not lead with vulgarity. I will not respond and will likely delete you. I am not here to be your sex toy. I will gladly RP a more mature theme, but damn it I need to be wooed first. I am a man, not a manwhore or some desperate lay, and would like some respect.

3. This site is not my job. I will always respond to you within at least two weeks. If you think I will give you more priority than real life, you are sadly mistaken. I am usually on for a few hours every day, at least, so you will always get progress of some kind when I am on. After that, if you can't wait 24 hours for my next few hour stint with you, do not bother to be my friend. I am not here to cater to you and your schedule and I will not deal with neediness or the melodramatic "McCree, why are you ignoring me? Am I a bad writer? Do you hate me?" 

4. I may not tell you that I am done for the night/day. I do not send out individual messages to each person I am talking to and I do not always update my status. If you cannot handle NOT being updated every time I decide to be on or off, then do not add me.

5. I usually have the site on in my phone, so it may say I am online when I am really not. I do not mind the occasional nudge for a reply, but if it has not been 24 hours since my last response, odds are I'm not actually ignoring you. If it has been more than one week, please tell me. I may have forgotten or not seen the message. Or, if it has been longer than a week, it is because you have sent me a one-liner or you expect me to do all the work in the RP. I'm sure you will be able to figure out which one it is. 

6. God-moding and godmodding (yes, they're two different things) are never allowed. I'll give you a warning on the first offense, but after that, if it happens again, I'm discontinuing the roleplay.

7. Please, don't add me if you're under 18. I roleplay mature themes, and I'd rather not be doing so with a 14 year old. I don't care how CLOSE to 18, or how good at writing you think you are, if you are not 18 years of age at the time of sending the request, you are not getting a roleplay. Just because it is roleplay does not mean it is not illegal to do certain things with minors, and if you are lying to me about your age I WILL find out and you WILL be deleted.

8. If you are an overall inactive person, or cannot be bothered to even try to begin a roleplay, I will remove you from my friends list. I am not on this site to be a number on your friends list; I am here to roleplay.


All right, if I sent you here, I have a task for you. Anyone reading this just for funsies or out of curiosity, you can do this too. Comment on this blog post by typing "Too strange to live. Too rare to die." This way I will know that you have read the whole thing. If you were sent here by me, you must do this or else I will not respond to you. Sorry, that's just the way it goes.
