Hello! Admin here! I'll jump right in: I have been role-playing for 12 years now. I pride myself on my experience. I try my utmost to be considerate and kind to my partners, and am always eager to write! I've been here multiple times and dip in and out as my inspiration fluctuates. I'm looking to make legitimate stories based on the writing material and NOT just er*t*ca, so, if you're looking for someone to write sm*t with you're outta luck. I ONLY do any such writing when and IF it even fits the story and I have good writing chemistry with my partner!

Natasha Romanoff was born Natalia Alianovna Romanova in 1928 to rumoured late members of the Romanov Dynasty – although these rumours have never been proven to be true. A Soviet soldier by the name of Ivan Petrovitch Bezukhov had been searching for his sister in the rubble of Stalingrad with a team of men when they heard cries for help. They followed the cries, of course, and discovered a woman barely clinging to life and an infant wrapped in her arms. She saw a resemblance between Bezukhov and General Secretary Stalin and in her last moments of life, willed Natasha to Bezukhov just before being crushed by falling debris.
His occupation and the state of the country, however, meant that he was always on the move. This was no hindrance and, in fact, was a catalyst for her recruitment to the Soviet Intelligence – she would spend the first ten years of her life being trained by her adoptive father and aiding him whenever she could be used, as well as taking up classes when they would settle fleetingly. She caught the attention of important figures with wicked plans when she continued popping up at different schools, soaring to the top of all her classes.

For years Ivan Bezukhov searched for a home for Natasha, some place for her to stay, and in 1938 he finally located another Romanoff, a man named Taras – what he didn't know was that Taras was recruiting girls for Department X, a Soviet program designed to create and cultivate super-soldier spies for the KGB to use to dismantle the west.
Ivan was scheduled to leave for a few months on military service, and he was growing increasingly anxious to place Natasha somewhere he was certain she would be well cared for and safe while he was away, so he quickly arranged that they meet in Moscow. They did, and as they were discussing plans for possible orphanages or schools General Secretary Stalin himself happened to “coincidentally” appear – or in his words he “just happened to be taking a stroll in the park when he encountered a moment of *pure communist synthesis*”. Stalin seems too eager in his praise, but nonetheless, he expressed how happy he was to see such a “*beautiful* demonstration of the individual putting his *trust* in the Soviet system”. Stalin then stated that Taras Romanoff had a “school” that would be perfect for Natasha and suggested she enroll, as he believed she would become a star pupil and could transform the Romanova name.

The academy specialised in espionage, marking the beginning of Natasha’s indoctrination into the world of spycraft. For the first two years she thrived under the watchful eye of Taras Romanoff, who posed as her father, with the addition of Logan, the Wolverine, whom she formed a strong familial bond with; calling him “Little Uncle”. Early on she met a boy one year older than her who was named Nikolai – Natasha credits him with protecting what little humanity she had left at that time.
At the end of her training in 1940 she had been given a final task: kill Logan. After all, a perfect spy is apathetic. Is it not? Logan had grown to become an important and influential member in her life, in addition to his great strength. If she could successfully eliminate him, then she would finally graduate to the KGB.
After learning that Natasha had been “kidnapped” Logan’s gut and the surrounding circumstances told him only one thing: it’s a trap. But, still, he followed the tracks and found Natasha alone and armed, but too emotionally distressed to harm him. She revealed that Taras isn't her father and, like Logan, she had been sent here for training and his execution was her final test. But, she didn't want to kill him, she wanted to make it *appear* as though she had. Surprisingly, Logan revealed that he hadn't only been sent for training, but to see what information Taras knew, and if what he knew was enough to kill him. This, of course, meant that he would have to kill Natasha, too, so he took a necklace of her’s that had Taras’ family ring attached to it as “proof” that he had. In the end they parted ways and Logan went through with killing Taras.
After Taras was killed the facility went into disarray almost immediately. Natasha hid out in the harsh winter forest for three months before being found by Ivan where he convinced her, at twelve-years-old, to come back and join the world war with him.

They spent the early 1940’s scouring the rubble of countless attack sites, rescuing Russian civilians, as well as Jewish refugees. Ivan always said that he was better suited for helping people, not hurting them, and found belonging doing what he did. Natasha put her new skills to use by smuggling Jewish refugees and finding them safehouses while providing some of them with new identities. For three years the three of them were a family, until Nikolai was killed in action and Natasha discovered she was pregnant. Even worse, she gave birth to a stillborn daughter.

When Natasha lost Nikolai it devastated her, but at first she told herself she could live on. Live on in his name and carry a legacy with their child. But, then she lost their babygirl, too, and there was no coming back – only rage filled the void that once was occupied by an ambitious, loving heart. She put her education to the test and went on the run, hunting down every lead that could take her to who killed Nikolai. It was a World War, though, and millions died. Thousands of people killing without knowing who they were killing. There was nothing for her but being what she was made to be. A weapon. A spy. A hunter.
For two long years Natasha became an aggressive terror. She did not just shoot her foes, she cut them down. They were all personal.

In the summer of 1947 Ivan finally found Natasha, in a German’s farmhouse. To make an incredibly long and tragic story short; she had the man, his wife and two children tied up while she was yelling and breaking things, threatening them with her gun and knife. When Ivan arrived he had to pull her off of the German and subdue her so she couldn't cause any more harm. There was no talking, neither knowing how to ride those particular waves... In the end he had to deliver her to the KGB for her crimes, where she was ultimately handed over to the Red Room and put into their Black Widow Ops Program.

Upon arriving to the Red Room each girl is assigned a handler – Natasha was assigned the Winter Soldier, sparking their secretive relationship.
In Natasha’s class there were 28 girls total, each brainwashed to believe that they were Bolshoi ballerinas. Aside from inhumane training that includes killing people and animals, they were subjected to equally inhumane treatment. At night they were cuffed to the frames of their beds and during the day they were forced to watch indoctrination material, endured brainwashing, and were injected with enhancement serums to further along their training. In the end a select few were given a Super Soldier Serum variant, sterilized, and forced to endure more brainwashing. In early 1965 an unspecified number of girls graduated, including, of course, Natasha.

In the late 60’s Natasha was introduced to a KGB pilot by the name of Alexei Shostakov and a marriage was arranged. Alexei had a sparkling reputation not only within the KGB, but the entire underground intelligence community. To ensure good faith between the organisations they were engaged. Naturally this put a strain on James and Natasha’s relationship, making it more difficult to keep a secret. She cared deeply for Alexei and did have love for him, but it wasn't the love she held for James. For years Natasha, James and Alexei worked as a formidable team for HYDRA and the KGB until Alexei’s death was faked in order for him to become the Red Guardian.

Shortly after the “death” of Alexei while Natasha was grief-stricken and reckless, hers and James romance was discovered by the KGB and reported up the ranks quickly. Fearing the worst, they were separated and tortured for information – their leaders were afraid that James had somehow broken his training and defected back to the US, perhaps convincing their precious Widow to follow him. When it was finally concluded that he hadn't it only got worse.

During these 17 years Natasha was tortured on and off, and worked under the KGB as the Black Widow. There are many unspeakable things she did. And many unspeakable things were done to her, as well. She experienced both mind wipes and cryofreeze. She vowed revenge. It was during these years that the Black Widow was most active.
