Guardian of Fate

Melody Moon was born in the middle of a hot summer, to Roseline James Moon and Jo "Alphonse" Daímonas. Jo said that Melody should take her mother's name since it was already a respected and feared name in Hell where as his was only feared not respected. Melody was born without her powers as such her Grandmother, on her father's side, took advantage of her lack of powers and made her into a Vessel for the Clan Leader's powers since her father was disowned for marrying a charge of the Guardians. (rivalries between Guardians and demons were still going on at this time.) Only Melody's husband could claim the power whether or not he would be the Clan leader was a different story.

This made Melody a target for a good portion of her life, even when her family moved she still had to be careful. When her mother became a Guardian and brought Alice into their home it made Melody less lonely.

Not long after she turned sixteen did her powers show up. Alice, who had her powers since birth much to Melody's jealousy, was so happy for her she decided to take Melody out to celebrate. When they got home they found their home a mess and no sign of their parents or adopted aunts and uncle. Melody blamed her powers and Alice blamed herself for convincing Melody to leave. The girls decided to look for Rose and their family, council denied this request but Melody said "Council be damned Myles. I'm half demon and they can't boss me around, I would like to see them try."

Not wanting to leave her adopted little sister alone Alice went with Melody to find their family. Myles used her power to freeze their time/aging, (At least Melody's because it appeared that Alice was all but immune to Guardian magic and the time freeze wore off on her pretty quickly). The two adopted sisters traveled following even the most ridiculous of clues and rumors. It took fifteen years but they found their family.

Rose in her phoenix form was chained to the ceiling barely conscious. Her form's golden skin bruised and glowing as it healed itself from the beatings and tortures. Jo was in his demon form unmoving and barely breathing. Cadwyn's white wolf fur was stained red with his blood. The fire demon Rose called Sorsha and the snake alchemist known as Salinda were both in their human forms no apparent wounds on them.

Alice and Melody came up with an elaborate plan, involving lots of olde magic and some new magic. Blowing up the throne room and tower of Kornhe, blood god of chaos, but at a price. Melody's price was that her time was reversed, until she was but a child again but the magic she finally found was not taken from her, she was able to keep her magic. Her adopted sister Alice's price was heavier, more sad, she lost her first born, her daughter. Rose was not Alice's true mother, Alice did not have the blood of the chaos agents in her veins at the time, the fight against chaos is costing to those not part of it.

It was many years later either by Alice's side or Rose's Melody experienced her childhood again only filled with magic. At one of the many parties Alice threw for Melody to get her more social since she didn't have much of one with the giant target on her back. There she met Elijah Mikaelson and not long after married him, he already had a daughter which she accepted and loved as her own even after her twin daughters were born.

She became Guardian of Fate a month before her wedding after going through a trial in the Kingdom of Amular, where she helped Lashrael master Fate as she did and helped him be reborn, even if Tirnoch took the credit for her work. She helped him seal away Tirnoch and became keeper and guardian of that realm as well as the Guardian of Fate.

Melody enjoys her life with her family and is willing to sacrifice anything of her personal choices to spend time with her family. That meant a lot of paperwork and time in the office and though she complained seeing her family was worth it. She even stopped being a fashion designer and became a detective with the local police, there was more paperwork but she was given plenty of time with her family.

Honorable Dark Assasin

Diplomat, spy, or saboteur, few things are certain about the secretive Dokkalfar agent named Alyn Shir. Most know her as a charming and scandalous ambassador. The Alfar armies know her as a cunning and unpredictable ally. A rare few know her as a fearsome and merciless assassin—but never for long.

When asked, Alyn Shir is willing to spin any number of tales about her past. Sometimes, she is the least daughter of a minor noble, inheriting only a pair of ancient daggers and a disdain for those who think that power will protect them. In others, she was born a street urchin and survived through stealth and cunning. The only certainty is that as the war rages on, this singular woman has found more and more need for her knives, and no one can be certain where her true loyalty lies.

The truth is actually more simple than that. She is one of the few in Amalur that was able to erase all traces of her past, both good and bad, but she is also chained to the Order with no sign of the keys to her freedom. When she met the one who would become the fateless one, Lashrael Gwydion, she thought him arrogant, selfcentered and a man stuck in his sister's shadow determined to prove he was better. She was surprised more than most that upon his death, she cried for his loss.

When she saw Lashrael again it took all of her control not to fall in his arms in relief, but that was not what was expected of her. It hurt her more when he had no memory of his life, especially of her. She kept her distance following him helping him when she could with her connections and her own skills but the moment he called her a coward and a liar she lost it. She told him everything, how he was before he died and how it was his own fault that he died. She told him that they were barely friends, though she hinted that they may have been lovers.

She said good by to Lashrael before his final battle when he and Melody walked down the tunnel that led to King Gadflow and Tirnoch. She will deny that she once again cried thinking that she lost her lover as well as her only friend again. She leaves a note of warning in their secret place stating that the order will not only kill him, but her as well if it is proven that rumors of Tirnoch were coming from him since he knows the truth.

Her final note and farewell to Lashrael stated thus.

From the beginning, we were wrong. And only now, well into the second decade of the conflict, have we begun to understand the mistakes we have made.
We lived in harmony among the Fae, in a world awakened to new magic. Perhaps we should have foreseen what might be born on this rising tide. What force might awaken. A force powerful enough to twist even the eternal and immutable Fae folk.
But Gadflow, the new king of the Winter Court, surprised us all. Singular among his people, he was all other Fae were not: aggressive, ambitious, visionary. He had powers like none we had ever seen- terrible and deadly.
Gadflow and his followers, the Tuatha Deohn, believed that a new god was born in the East, beneath Galdflow’s crystalline fortress of Amethyn. In the name of that god, they marched to war against the young races of Amalur. Against a mortal army, no matter the power of their god, we might have been victorious. But the Fae are creatures of magic, not bound by the laws of life and death. Each Tuatha fallen on the battlefield would soon rise again, for the Fae do not know death as we do. How could we stand against such a force? For ten years, the war raged. For ten years, the armies of men and Alfar fought and died. But as our numbers dwindled, we new that it was only a matter of time. Our fate had been written. At least, that is what we believed.
Until you died...
How could we have known that this would be the beginning? I wonder now if we should have foreseen this outcome. But who knew what Fate would bring? I would have liked to have delivered this message in person, to see you one final time. That, however, would have been.. complicated. The order to which I belong had other plans, were you ever to leave the crystalline fortress. When it comes to you, though, it seems no fate is written in stone. It was only through my assurances that your silence could be counted upon, that either of us still draws breath. I trust you will not make of me a liar.
Were stories of what we have seen begin to surface in the inns and taverns of Amalur, I would be asked to seek you out. And, as we both know, the next time you die, there will be no return. But let us not speak of this. Your life is your own. Go now, and see what Fate may bring you.. or what Fate you may bring. Perhaps, one day, in happier times, you and I will meet again. Until that day, I remain,

Yours, Alyn Shir

She hinted in this that if she would ever be free, she would come to him in peace and stay with him as long as he wanted. She could see no better Fate, however her life was not her own and she didn't know when or if she would ever be free.

Guardian of Hope

Élise was born the daughter of François de la Serre, Grand Master of the French Templars, and Julie de la Serre in 1768. As a small child, Élise was oblivious to her family's Order, she did not question her parents why they were different from other families. Her mother told her not to be like the other women at court who only knew of looks and status. This intrigued Élise, who started spying on other women behind her mother's skirts.

Élise met her combat mentor and a British Templar, Frederick Weatherall, in February 1774. The young girl admired the man and immediately took a liking to him. At first, Élise was confused and questioned her mother about her father and Weatherall, but Julie convinced her that he was a confidant and protector and that her father would be busy.

Élise's parents were revealed their plans to her, which were to prepare her to become the future Grand Master of the Parisian Rite, and tell her of the secret Assassin-Templar War. Relieved that her questions were finally answered, Élise found the idea of leading the country to order and peace a principled idea.

François de la Serre adopted young Arno Dorian, following his father's death at the hands of Shay Cormac. As a result, she and Arno grew up together, with the energetic Élise often getting her adoptive brother into trouble. Once, she convinced him to jump a fence into an orchard, which happened to be patrolled by guard dogs. They became great friends, and Élise took her role as older sister with enjoyment. Soon Élise was called by her parents who revealed Arno's Assassin heritage to her, even though the boy himself was oblivious to it. François asked her to guide him towards the Templar Order, an idea against Élise and her mother's beliefs. They managed to convince François to delay his plans, for which the young girl was grateful.

When her mother became ill, Élise stopped spending her afternoons with Arno, but rather at her mother's bedside. She found François gravitating towards Arno, which left her sad and grief-stricken. Before her death, Julie told Élise to stay strong for the sake of her father and the Order, and that she loved them very much. Julie's death brought emptiness in the young girl's life, even as her routines continued as usual. Weatherall gave her a box from Julie that contained a short sword with an inscription of the Templar maxim on the hilt, but Élise felt nothing. He sent her away to school after that.

In May 1789, Élise returned to the de la Serre estate in Versailles, At the Palace of Versailles, Élise was officially inducted into the Templar Order as an initiate, and gifted with a pin symbolizing the membership by François. A private party was held to honor her arrival and induction, where she was reunited with Arno.

After sharing an affectionate kiss, Élise helped Arno escape the guards by distracting them and asking them to lead her to the billiard room. Halfway through her destination, she heard the cries of the crowd, and later learned that François had been assassinated and her lover was the culprit. Élise was overwhelmed by grief and developed a scorn for Arno. On 14 July 1789, Élise joined the people storming the Bastille, where Arno was imprisoned, and witnessed the people's lust for freedom and justice, along with Arno and Pierre Bellec's escape from the fortress by leaping off the battlements.

Élise spent her following days drunk and anxious, until 25 July 1789, when Arno arrived in the estate and explained that he was not François' killer. Élise showed Arno the letter that he had failed to deliver, and told him to go. She managed to learn from her mentor that the Roi des Thunes was also responsible for her father's death a few months later.

In spite of their opposing allegiances, Élise and Arno shared a goal of finding François' killer. However, while Arno sought to redeem himself, she was driven by vengeance, wanting justice for her father's murder.

Through the memories of la Touche, Arno learned that revolutionary leader Maximilien de Robespierre was one of Germain's conspirators. At the Festival of the Supreme Being, Élise poisoned Robespierre to make him appear insane to the crowd. Arno also found lists of political opponents that Robespierre planned to eliminate. He placed the lists on critics of Robespierre, who was soon deposed by the National Convention. However, Robespierre was sentenced to death, leaving Élise and Arno little time to interrogate him. As Robespierre refused to give up Germain's location, Élise lost control and shot Robespierre's jaw, much to her and Arno's horror. He then wrote that Germain was hiding at the Temple.

Realizing that she was turning into another person and she might not survive her oncoming battle with Germain, she wrote a letter to Arno, thanking him for his loyalty and love.

On 28 July 1794, Élise decided to split up from Arno in their pursuit for Germain in the Temple. It was Arno who encountered Germain wielding a Sword of Eden and was defeated, letting Germain escape once again. Élise and Arno found him in a Templar crypt where the two tried to attack him. Using the Precursor sword, Germain trapped Arno underneath a pillar.

Élise decided to leave Arno and pursue the Grand Master herself. She locked him in a fierce sword fight, which Germain was slowly losing due to an injury that Arno had inflicted. The Sword of Eden's power source became unstable and exploded, throwing Élise into a column, crushing her beneath it. A freed Arno immediately went to his lover, but was seconds too late, as Élise died in his arms.

When she opened her eyes again there were three women before her. All terrifying, she could feel power radiating from them, but these three women led her to a man. One who made her a deal, who showed her the results of her actions despite her anger. She had instilled Hope, how she could not say. The three women then turned and led Elise to a figure cloaked in light.

Silent war

Melody was ready for a vacation. She didn't ask to be put in charge of another realm but that didn't mean that she was going to let it fall into chaos.

She sighed after leading the "Warden Commander, " to his temporary quarters. Anders insisted on speaking with her. She caught many eyes in the group to Varric being one of them. She didn't need her powers to know what they wanted.

Hawke.

It wouldn't be hard getting permission, the hard part is the retrieval. She sighed rubbing her face before she started penning the letter. Quill, ink and parchment. Cullen adjusted to Tijani's technology easily like many, but also like many others are having a hard time.

Letter written easily enough, now to get her here.

Melody couldn't leave with so many guardians on missions and council she had to stay behind. To replace her power she would need to send two or three back. Question is who?

She heard a knock on her private office door, well not private that's the one at home, this office was on the palace grounds in a building set specifically for guardian duty. It even had a secret room for all the secret guardians and those in the know. She still didn't have a key to that room.

She answered after the second knock.

"Enter," she said sealing the letter in wax.
