Always changing. Not all plots are mine, I'm afraid. I generally prefer MxF pairings (where I play a female character, however I take no issue with playing male characters as well!), but I am also open to writing FxF pairings! < 3 I don't write MxM pairings - I'm just not good at them, sorry.

I also *really* enjoy writing multi-muse, though only when each character is well-developed - for this reason, I will only write multi-muse with certain partners.

Plots are organized by era / time period. Within each section, there is no particular order. Just because one plot is categorized as a medieval plot does not mean that is must be medieval; I am so, so open to adjusting them as we see fit!

MEDIEVAL

1. For as long as scholars can remember, a bitter rivalry had always existed between the two kingdoms. The threat of war has always hovered in the distance, but their tense alliance always managed to remain intact. Finally, after centuries of disagreements and conflict, the two ruling families of the kingdoms finally came to a decision; an arrangement, an agreement, a resolution. A marriage between their respective heirs, both who were too young to even understand. It was the promise of a new age, one without strife or fear. A union not only between two people, but two cultures and two ways of life. However, they did not yet know how the pair would react when it came time to carry through with the arrangement made all those years ago. Will the couple fall happily in love? Or will the years of rivalry keep them from truly being happy together?
Slowburn, enemies-to-lovers vibe.
TWIST --▻ Character A’s nation has been invaded by an expanding empire and after months of brutal and bloody flighting, they have been forced to submit at the hands of their invaders. Instead of destroying the local elite and suppressing the culture of their newest lands, the new rulers choose to ally themselves with the previous ones through agreements that would be beneficial to both, but still guarantee the upper hand for the invading empire. To establish this symbiotic relationship, Character A, child of the previous rulers of the conquered nation, is pushed to marry Character B, child of the emperor. Character A despises their future spouse, seeing them as the enemy; barbarian monsters who are trying to claim Character A’s freedom, as well as their kingdom. Character B, however, accepts the wedding as their duty and make efforts to gain Character A’s trust. Slowly, Character A starts ceding and, what’s more surprising, developing feelings for Character B.

2. Character A is the leader of the rebellion against the monarchy and is used to doing dirty deeds for their cause; they have more blood on their hands then anyone really should. Character B is loyal to the crown and is under deep cover in the ranks of the rebellion, making their way up to the right hand man. Will Character A discover that something is not as it seems when it comes to their most trusted companion? If not, when the time comes to reveal the truth, will Character B be able to betray Character A and their cause?

3. Character A and Character B met in the early days of their youth, away from family and responsibilities, and it was love at first sight. However, their time together was short-lived and they parted ways carrying only each other’s first name and their memory. Fastforward to the present, the ruler of their nation is dead and their families see their traditional rivalry strengthened by an indirect battle as they offer their support to two different claims to the throne with the aim to maximize their influence over the future government. With the growing tensions as a background, Character A and Character B meet again and recognize each other as the ones who captured each other’s hearts with just one look years ago and they refuse to lose sight of each other again. Nonetheless, now the identity of their parents have been revealed and they must fight to be together in a time where their relationship has become even further beyond acceptable.

4. Character A’s and Character B’s territories have a long history of tensions (mostly) due to religious divergences. Now, these tensions have culminated in a conflict that has affected Character A’s life, forcing them to run away. Weak, tired and hurt, they’re found by Character B, who take them in without hesitation and take care of them. The only problem: Character B lives in the enemy’s territory and shares the enemy’s faith. For Character A, Character B is the enemy. Thus, their first instinct is to try and get away, disgusted. But Character B is insistent in securing Character A’s well-being and slowly show them they’re just as human as Character A is, and they don’t want anything to do with the war. Slowly, trust and even affection start to blossom between them.

5. Character A is a prince/princess. Their once-peaceful kingdom is now at war with a neighbouring realm, ruled by a bloody tyrant with a thirst for power. Character A's subjects are suffering, and Character A is determined to do something about it. Under the cover of darkness, they flee the palace to join the ranks of a small rebel group whose influence is growing. They disguise themselves as a peasant, ensuring that their identity as a royal is kept secret. Character B is the group's mysterious leader, and although Character A and Character B do not initially see eye-to-eye, Character B eventually permits Character A to join them on their quest to defeat the dark forces that threaten to overtake the kingdom once and for all. Will Character A's identity be revealed? Will Character A and Character B learn to get along? Will their plan succeed?
TWIST --▻ Character B is actually the prince/princess of the evil kingdom, but they have turned against their family in order to do the right thing. Before they ran away, Character A was pressured into marrying the son/daughter of the bloody tyrant, who, unbeknownst to them, was Character B. They refused, believing them to be just as evil as their family. Eventually, the truth comes out when their identities are revealed.
** This plot will include elements of fantasy.

SALEM WITCH TRIALS (1632 - 1633)

1. Character A is the child of the local apothecary. While they are generally tolerated (and even respected by a small handful of the villagers), the apothecary and Character A have been the subject of many rumours; it is whispered, after all, that the true nature of their craft is much, much darker than it seems. Character B is the reverend's child and has always been told to stay away from Character A's family because of the rumours; however, one day Character A and Character B meet. They strike up a secret friendship and eventual romance, composed of longing glances and covert meetings in the forest at midnight. They are fascinated by one another, although Character A cannot reveal their one true secret: they, along their family, are a sorcerer/sorceress. Eventually, as suspicions grow regarding the truth about Character A and danger draws near, the pair must make quick decisions in order to protect themselves and their love.

GOLDEN AGE OF PIRACY (1650 - 1730)

1. Character A is the child of wealthy aristocrat living in a seaside town; they’ve always been afraid of the sea, yet oddly fascinated by it. When Character A was a child, the ship they were sailing on was attacked by pirates and they were barely able to escape. Although the lure of the sea has always been there, Character A has since refused to ever board another ship. Several years after their brush with pirates, in the dead of night, a suspicious ship sets anchor a little ways away from shore. Pirates make landfall and begin to pillage and plunder the town. The militia stationed in the town are quick to react and a fierce battle breaks out. With the perfect distraction created, the captain of the ship, Character B, heads for the most opulent-looking manor. Character B breaks in to Character A’s home and begins to raid Character A’s late mother’s jewelry. In an attempt to stop Character B, Character A steals one of their father’s swords and holds the pirate at sword point. Since Character A has never had any kind of training, they are easily overpowered by Character B. Upon taking a closer look at Character A and realizing who they are, Character B decides that they are worth far more than any bejewelled trinkets. So Character B offers a proposition; in exchange for ending the bloodshed and leaving port, Character A must come aboard Character B’s ship as captive for ransom. Character A is terrified, but they wish to protect their town, so they reluctantly agree. So now Character A must face their fears and leave their life behind. How will they fare and what will their relationship be like with Character B?
** Honestly, if I were to ever write this with someone, I would love to see Character A as male and Character B as female. I think that would be such a fun dynamic!

REGENCY ERA (1811 - 1820)

1. Character A is a young lady from an influential, upper-class family. It is her first season being debuted to society; although she is undoubtedly desirable, after a number of near-scandals and misunderstandings, her chances of finding a suitable suitor have begun to dwindle dangerously. Character B is a duke, returning to his estate after a long absence; he is determined to never marry, but at every social gathering, he is bombarded by eligible young women and their chaperones, desperate to win over his affections in the hopes that their daughter may secure a proposal from him. After an unlikely and brutally honest encounter, Character A and Character B make a deal: they will pretend as though they are deeply in love, so that Character A's position as the most desirable debutante is established once more, while Character B is no longer considered available and may enjoy their time in London in peace before he leaves for good. However, the longer their arrangement continues, the less it begins to feel like a ruse...

2. Character A and their identical twin sister have nothing in common except their looks: while her sister is a confident socialite, Character A hides from society, ruined by scandal. But when her sister runs away with a secret lover to escape her loveless marriage, Character A must impersonate her in order to save their family's reputation, as well as their position in society, as their father is gravely in debt. In order to outfox Character B, her sister's cruel and clever husband, Character A must start living with him, and any wrong move will out her as an imposter. However, it doesn't take long for her to discover a passionate and respectful man under Character B's icy exterior. But is Character A willing to destroy her sister's reputation in order to be with the man she loves? Or will it all fall apart when he realizes that she has been lying all along?

3. Character A is hardly one to believe in the supernatural; therefore, when they begin to find themselves being, well... / haunted / by a mysterious spectre, they cannot help but find themselves questioning their sanity. Their best friend quickly notices a change in Character A’s behaviour, and Character A eventually confesses. To their surprise, their best friend takes their seemingly insane confession quite seriously, even going so far as to investigate Character A’s claims. Soon, Character A learns that they are not, in fact, going insane; instead, they are faced with a seemingly impossible truth. Supernatural beings most certainly exist, and their friend, along with the rest of their family, is responsible for eliminating such forces from their world. Character A is soon placed under the protection of their friend’s family, and such protection includes that of Character B, their best friend’s sibling (not to mention Character A's childhood crush!), who is quite proficient in the elimination of such supernatural entities.

VICTORIAN ERA (1837 - 1901)

1. Character A is a wealthy noble with a child of about 5 - 10 years of age. Their child has always been sickly, but their illness has recently gotten worse. As Character A is the proprietor of a grand fortune to which their child is the heir, Character A cannot help but suspect that someone has attempted to poison their child. Character A needs someone to keep watch over their child, but they know that it is entirely possible that enemies are lurking around every corner; their first thought is Character B's father, an elderly but well-respected, honest doctor from a neighbouring village, but he is unable to tear himself away from his own practice. Instead he sends his son/daughter, Character B, who has some medical knowledge and has assisted their father on multiple occasions. Over time, the bond between Character A and Character B grows stronger, and the pair fall in love, although this only puts them in more danger; Character B is seen as a threat to those who are after Character A's wealth.

2. For as long as they can remember, Character A has experienced tragedy after tragedy. They have been mistreated by the upperclass time and time again, but they know that as a servant to one of the most important families of society, they cannot fight back, or they risk being severely punished. This life is all they have ever known. However, one day they catch the eye of the master of the house's son/daughter (Character B). A spark is immediately felt between the two, but nothing is done. However, after an unexpected situation pushes them to meet once more and ties them together, they find themselves unable to deny the connection they have with one another.
Possible Additional Conflicts: Character B is engaged to be married to another/is already married, although the relationship is loveless; Character A hopes to find work outside of the estate, meaning that the pair will never see one another again; etc.

3. When their successful, merchant father amasses enough wealth to afford a valuable piece of property, a rather unrefined Character A finds themselves thrust suddenly into the upper class. Though they have no title by birth, Character A is now considered eligible for courtship by noble sort. Now more than ever, it’s of great importance that Character A learns proper deportment- how to conduct themselves in society-from a professional; Character B is hired for this purpose, to prepare Character A for their debut to society at a grand ball. Every day Character A attends etiquette lessons, in which Character B attempts to teach essentials such as how to dress, how to ride a horse, how to behave at a formal banquet, and so on. Character A proves to be an exhausting student, never quite behaving as they should, questioning every rule. Over time, the two develop feelings for one another.
Possible twists include: Character B is already betrothed; Character B is preparing Character A to attract the attention of a wealthy noble, but finds themselves catching feelings for Character A over time; etc.

4. Character A is the ward of their uncle, a doctor. Their station is not ideal, and no one in the village knows who their parents are, not even Character A. Their uncle has been hiding the fact that they are a bastard, sent away from the household at birth for fear of public scandal falling upon their rich and influential father. Character A has grown up near a large manor, the home of a wealthy lord. As a child, they became friends with their children. As Character A grows older, they fall for Character B, the lord's eldest son/daughter. Character B falls for Character A as well. However, both are well aware that their stations will not allow them to be together. Especially considering how Character B's family is running out of money, and are likely to lose their lavish lifestyle. However, neither of them can hide their feelings for each other. Character B is constantly having rich heirs/heiresses thrust upon them, and Character A themselves is an heir/heiress, though they don't know it.

5. Character A is a struggling artist living in Paris. Meanwhile, the young and striking Character B has fallen on hard times. The two meet, and begin a friendship, with Character A using Character B as their muse. They begin to fall in love, but as Character A's career begins to take off, their relationship with Character B suffers.
** Because the setting would be Paris, France, this would be considered La Belle Époque (I’m thinking 1890s).

6. City-dweller Character A is aboard a ship when a deadly storm blankets the ocean. Darkness spreads as far as the eye can see, with the only light coming from the bolts of lightning that snap and crackle with sizzling electricity. The waves begin to crash over the deck, and it seems as though there is no hope. However, the captain manages to spot the beckoning beam of a lighthouse in the distance and steers the ship towards safety; however, the ship crashes against the rocky cliffside and splits in two. Character A is the only survivor of the shipwreck and wakes up to find themselves tucked away in a bed inside of the lighthouse. Their memories are hazy, but they manage to recall Character B, the lighthouse keeper, helping them off the beach and towards safety. The lighthouse is the pride and joy of the tiny seaside town so far from the mainland, and Character A immediately dislikes the small village; they cannot wait to return home to "civilization." Character B, fed up with their ingratitude, searches desperately for a ship that will take Character A back to the mainland, but due to the small size of the town, the next mainland-bound ship is not set to leave for a number of months. However, as Character A slowly heals from their near-drowning, they grow closer to Character B, and become well-acquainted with the other citizens of the impossibly tiny seaside village. They almost find themselves feeling at home, until they are offered a chance to sail back to the mainland...
** Could also apply to early 1900s (think 1900 - 1910).

7. Character A is arranged to be married to Character B, a wealthy aristocrat of higher ranking than that of Character A's family. Though publicly reputed to be charitable and of high moral character, Character B is a boorish, cruel person behind closed doors. Character B’s sibling, Character C, is sympathetic towards Character A’s undesirable union. One dreary evening, they confide that this is not Character B’s first marriage; they’ve had to endure their sibling’s awful behaviour since they were young, and they strongly suspect that Character B was responsible for the largely unexplained demise of their first betrothed. Character A and Character C bond over their shared disdain for Character B and they ultimately conspire to put an end to Character B’s wickedness.

8. When her father dies, Character A finds herself facing a difficult choice. As an unmarried woman, she faces poverty without a husband to provide for her— unless she takes on the challenge of running her late father's detective agency, which would be unthinkable for a respectable lady. Fortunately, she finds an unlikely partner in Character B, an unconventional inspector known for his smarts and his mysterious past. Together, the pair begin to tackle a string of grim murders, although the deeper they dig into the circumstances surrounding the mysterious deaths, the more they endanger themselves.
