Seoul.

After the (sort of) argument he had with LianBi (that mainly consisted in LianBi growling while Bang-sul would only sob), he stayed the whole time on bed, while the others were in Lemuria. In truth, he would have loved to go there and meet those people again, but Jeonha wanted to 'punish' him thus he forbid him to join and he didn't dare to oppose. Maybe it was for the best that he didn't witness the massacre he caused, by helping Seth to break free.

He is still on the bed when the Emperor comes back to the Palace. He doesn't move from there though, not even when he enters in the room.

LianBi is still quite annoyed at him, mainly because he can't understand him at all. His whole behaviour makes no sense to him and while on some side it annoys him a lot, on another it attracts him. It's that effect, when someone so powerful to be surrounded by people who would sell their own mothers for a minute of his attention comes across that one only person in the world who rejects him. Damn triggering.
He sighs at the sight of Bang-sul and just sits on the bed, near him. "We didn't get enough information. We will need to return on Earth to investigate within the human society."
No answer, but Bang-sul is listening.
"We will leave in the early morning, when all of our gear will be ready." And for gear, he means humans clothes. Plus, yes, he intends to bring Bang-sul with them, this time.
When speaking to the others, LianBi warned to only gather the minimum necessary people for the mission to be faster and smoother. He expects them to be 4-5 people at most, so he doesn't find it an issue to being Bang-sul as well, also since he is the major expert for Seth matter, despite he knows so little.

The next morning, Norihiko and Ryuke arrive to the Northern Quarters with the clothes LianBi and Bang-sul are supposed to wear that day. Needless to say, both eunuchs look kind of distressed because of those. They make absolutely no sense to them and they are not even sure how they are worn.
But still, they manage to dress the Emperor without causing major troubles.
Bang-sul, as always, dresses by himself and finds these clothes like a piece of cake, since they are much easier to wear than the hanfus he has to wear normally.

Well, the drama has yet to start.
LianBi is not pleased at all by the outfit. To him, used to wear Hanfu and robes since forever, these clothes feel more like underwear than something to wear outside your bedroom.
goo.gl/images/y5HzLk this one but with ripped black jeans.

~ Some minutes before dressing the Emperor.
"Those trousers are ripped! Didn't you check the clothes?" hisses Norihiko at Ryuke.
"I was told it's normal. That's how terrestrial wear their clothes!"
"It's ridiculous, outrageous! Jeonha won't wear such thing. You let them fool you!"
I brought one of the young humans with me, he confirmed it's supposed to be ripped! These are the most expensive and luxury clothes worn by young terrestrials!" And so on and on for ages. ~

Eventually, after the Emperor got dressed, Bang-sul comes out of the bathroom, wearing goo.gl/images/QpVHrR

LianBi's eyes widen. Ok, he hates human clothes on himself but finds them crazy sexy on his love. But maybe he is not as ok to think everyone will see him like that. >.<

The time of the meeting is at 5 am (LianBi anticipated the time of two hours so that nobody will see him in that outfit), by the teleportation spot right outside Shiirhuang.
With him are Bang-sul and HyunKi.
Yang is already there, but he was expected to come. goo.gl/images/vsnRjn so very terribly stylish and original.
Then arrives KiTae (alone?) but maybe he is there for some other reason? Then why he is wearing goo.gl/images/TZjiTv ??
Ok, ok keep calm, maybe he has a deep knowledge of Egyptian divinities and will be able to guide them through the researches. (???)
And then comes even Aron. goo.gl/images/dvKV2C

Sutekh.

Unlike his present self, Bang-sul has a much deeper knowledge of his own mind. Being blind has actually helped him to achieve many things, it can safely be said that blindness also made it easier for him to master his powers, since it left him in a state of desperation that cannot be described.

Now, it happens that his previous Jewel was very connected to mind, unlike the current one. Just like the dream-sharing was a proof of this involvement.
In the years, through sleep, he also had access to those memories that were taken away from him, although he, at the moment, still believes those events he witnessed to be just dreams.

Living inside the Palace makes him a little cut-out from most of the events occurring outside. He keeps himself as far as possible from his present self and the Princes, thus there are many things he can't know, unless LianBi tells him.

It's night. He is still basically living in the Emperor's quarters and at the moment they are sleeping in his bed.
Bang-sul is a little restless though, he has a strange feeling that keeps him awake.
Suddenly, screams right outside the building get him to sit up. LianBi too wakes up immediately.
Guards shouting and threatening, maids screaming, some eerie growling noises...
"Stay here", says LiamBi, standing up from the bed.
My ass - thinks Bang-sul, who stands up right after the Emperor and follows him outside.
He can't see, but Jeonha suddenly pushes him behind himself, as if to shield him. He must really think he is as weak as he behaves with him. Tsk.

"GongPo." Another one, wee, the heaven for Seth.
To that, it's him to push LianBi behind himself. He can't see what the other looks like, but the voice too is that of the eunuch and he knows for sure that boy died. It wasn't the kind of death that leaves doubts, he was decapitated, entirely. First thought: zombie apocalypse? Damn, JJ was right...
"What have they done to you...?" says Seth, probably referring to his blindness.
"Why are you here? What do you want?" he decides to act as if he knows, although he didn't get who the other really is.
"It is what everyone keeps asking me. You know who am I, don't you? You remember."
"You can't be who I think you are." Also since if he was that eunuch, he should be bones by now.
"You know me by the name of Seth."
Bang-sul gets like petrified. All the 'dreams' he had suddenly appear in his mind again. Dreams be actually enjoyed and gave him relief in some.lf the worst momentd of his life, after the death of Qing, where everything else seemed nothing but sorrow.
The question that would come to his mind is 'you are real'? But he somewhat doesn't want to give away too much, in front of LianBi and the others.
"I have a gift for you. The other you is not ready yet."
What the f*** should that mean? Ready for what?! - he thinks. He feels something close to him, not a person, just an object hovering in front of him. With some hesitation, he raises his hands to take the item. It's obviously a sword in its scabbard... and he recognizes it at the very first touch. His katana, the one Haru sold on Earth, that he thought the police had stolen.
"The sword your grandfather sent you, from Japan. You liked it so much."
F***, f***, f***... it was all true, it was all real - he thinks.
Loud, disembodiment growls. A man screaming in tremendous pain, more screams and general panic. Bang-sul tries to keep calm, but the fact he can't see nor guess what's going on is giving him a hard time.
"Stupid children of Dolash!" hisses Seth. "I will be back." His favourite line so far.

Double f***. Now he is left alone with a bunch of semi-hostile people thinking he is friend with that crazy dude.
"Jeonha... this demands emergency status and immediate interrogation", says a manly voice.
"Strengthen the defences on the Western Quarters, keep the Princes safe", replies LianBi in a clearly shaken tone.
"What about Concubine Yi, Jeonha?"
"Summon Yang and JunYin, tell them it's my order, they have to come..." Someone is seriously upset.
Bang-sul is not sure he wants to know what happened to scare LianBi so bad, but it must not have been a pleasant sight. One first good thing about being blind?
He gets grabbed and pushed against the wall, quite roughly. "Who was that?" asks the Emperor, in a mix of anger and worry.
He takes a few deep breath, hesitating a little to speak. Plus... well, when LianBi acts angry he gets totally petrified, especially when so close. "S-someone i... think I knew..." he says in a trembling tone.
LianBi takes the katana from his hands. "Why did it give this to you? How does he know you? Whose is this blood it's covering the whole sword?!"
Bang-sul covers his face with hands and starts to cry. Future Tero is such a crybaby while present one would rather tear off his eyes than let anyone see a single drop coming out of them. He is a little overwhelmed though. "Please..."
"WHAT? THAT MAN MANAGED IGNORE ALL OF THE DEFENCES! DO YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND HOW SERIOUS THIS IS?!"
He jumps and sobs at his shouts. When a strategic doesn't work it doesn't work.
LianBi hits the wall with his hand, very close to the other's head. "You must tell me", he hisses.
"I need a moment", he sobs. "Just a moment..." Although those memories are 'unlocked' they are a total mess, spread among different dreams and a total chaos of unconnected events flashing in his mind like a storm.
"YOU MUST TELL ME NOW!"
"I NEED A MOMENT TO SORT MY MEMORIES!" he shouts, but in a desperate tone, rather than angrily. Then sobs again. "It's not so easy..."

Definitely.

So, days pass and he gets the confirmation that ye, the Emperor really took him in as his new 'toy'. And he doesn't like it at all. But there is one thing he likes even less: the more the time passes the more it seems as if LianBi is developing actual feelings towards him.
What started as a sex-only thing quickly took the features of a relationship. Cuddles, hugs, kisses... the Emperor even stayed to sleep with him a couple of times. Rank quickly incressing, manifesting in the form of much better meals, clothes, items and lots of gifts too.
In one week, Tero, or as he is being addressed 'Bang-sul', went from 'prisoner(?)' to rank one, top tier Imperial Concubine.

Now, that's literally what every single woman of the Harem, a good number of the women outside and also a fair percentage of boys would dream for, their whole life, but the same doesn't apply for him. If LianBi ends up falling in love with him, there is no way he will still be able to hide his identity and then? Even if he uses Gamja's lie, would the Emperor be willing to keep him, where he looks identical to his son's beloved one? What if Chang Mi saw him? As if being in the hands of LianBi didn't terrify him enough, all these complicated matters have to pile up. Karma is such a bitch, punishes you for all your crimes in the moment you deserve it the least.

But what is probably the worst part is: LianBi blinded him, scarred his face and almost killed him... but this one LianBi didn't do it. The LianBi who did it will never get to exist, as his son didn't die on that day. But still... it is him. Same person, same voice... same scent. See his dilemma?

Since he is always the same prideful bastard, he is still struggling beyond his possibilities in order to keep his blindness a secret. The only thing that could make the situation even worse to him would be to have some eunuch grabbing him by arm to lead him to the bathtub or to put food in his mouth.

Among the various things, he also started to feel rather sick. He thinks it's just because of LianBi, the bad memories and feelings that the situation is making him live again, over and over, but there is actually more.
He starts to feel terribly confused, but in a serious way. Like you tell him 'hello' and he answers 'i'm 33.'
His illusions too are turning weaker and weaker, last very shortly and take much more effort than normal to cast. He doesn't even manage to contact Gamja anymore.

In such state, could he manage to continue keeping his blindness secret? Of course not.

At the end of the week, LianBi comes to visit him earlier than usual, in the afternoon. He wasn't even warned about his arrival, thus he couldn't even prepare properly.
When the eunuch at the door says 'Jeonha is almost here's, he was at bed. He jumps up as fast as he can, making some little mess, to run to stand in the usual spot where he waits for him every evening: the wall opposite to the entrance, farthest possible from where he will come, back against the wall and head bowed. As usual, he doesn't bow nor greet the Emperor, although he knows he really, really should. He is not in a nice position, he had to confess many crimes, LianBi could choose to execute him anytime, literally.
He hears the steps and then smells the scent, giving him the confirmation that the Emperor is there , standing right in front of him, at close distance.
"I got something for you", says LianBi, in a cheerful tone.
Since Tero is usually an a**hole and that's something he would very likely do if he was in LianHi's place, he wonders if he means his d*ck...
"Won't you take it?" asks the other, somewhat impatient.
Ok, LianBi is more decent than him. Though, he can't see... so he joins hands together and raises them, as to receive whatever it is. He hears something falling on the floor, close to them. Damn, he thinks that what the Emperor has to give him fell, so he quickly kneels and starts to search the floor... but aimless, as he can't guess where it is, exactly.

He can't know that the item is actually still in LianBi's hand, who is looking at the scene In disbelief.
"Bang-sul... what are you doing...?" asks the Emperor, placing a hand on his shoulder.

Tero overreacts, he is feeling panicked again and totally out of balance. He gets away from LianBi's grip and quickly stands up, starting to run towards the other side of the room. He is lost, he can't orientate and ends up tripping against the short table, falling and causing the pottery on it to get smashed on the floor too.
Just a moment before placing his hands on the broken cups, he gets grabbed by LianBi, who pulls him up in his arms. He brings Tero back to the wall and pins him against it, but not in a violent way.

That's the classic moment when all the flashbacks play in the Emperor's mind, to bring credit to the much-more than a doubt he got to see Bang-sul acting like that.
"A... are you... blind?" asks LianBi in a sorrowful tone, as if that awareness upset him a lot.
Tero tries to restrain himself, but ends up crying, very silently. He nods though, it's pointless to keep that nonsense up, it was too clear.

Silence.

Then Tero gets hugged, very tightly and warmly. The Emperor even places a hand on the back of his head.

They move on the bed, but just lying there, with Tero in LianBi's arms.
The Emperor puts something on Bang-sul's finger: a ring.

When the other leaves, Tero tries to cast an illusion to be able to see the ring, but he doesn't manage to. Something is really wrong, as if his powers had suddenly decided to abandon him.

~ The next morning, he doesn't wake up at the usual time. It gets so late an eunuch comes in to check if he is actually there, just to find him on the bed, unconscious, covered in sweat like running a terrible fever.
The euncub rushes to warn the Emperor, although he should have gone straight to the doctors instead.
In the throne hall, Sao witnesses the whole thing and restrains LianBi from rushing to his concubine, for the sake of his sons, to avoid to give them the impression to be careless towards the deaths of their mothers.
Though, Qing eavesdrops the whole conversation, both what the eunuch said and what Sao said to his father.

~ The doctors have absolutely no idea what's wrong with Tero. They can tell his whole organism is collapsing but they can't identify the reason nor a solution.
In a brief and rare moment of consciousness, Tero asks to call for Yang.
Tero only needs a sentence for him to understand who he is 'I chose his life. It is more important than mine.'
It takes a very short time for Yang to identify the problem, after being told this Tero comes from.a different time. And there is only one possible chance to save him: provide him with another jewel before he dies.

Lies call for more... lies.

(...)

He didn't need to see in order to know he was taken to a cold, wooden cell with some powerful magic restraints. Luckily though, these barriers, just like the curse they cast on him upon accessing the Palace, aren't effective towards his kind of magic, the Divine Magic of the Avatars.
What blocks him from using his powers is his conscience. Everybody got to learn about the powers and skills of his present self, although still very rusty and underdeveloped, and he doesn't want to put him into any risk. But he is also blocked by his cowardice, this devouring feet he has, that if he tried to react he would only suffer worse.
He didn't become like this out of nowhere, he had his reasons and blindness, plus the way he became blind, is at the top of it.

He is also worried for Gamja, but he would never admit it. He is not sure whether it is a good or bad thing that she wasn't taken to the prisons as well.

Hours pass and finally someone comes to him. He gets taken by a couple of armored men, whom roughly pull him out of the cell and further.
He does not struggle, he feels so overwhelmed by the awareness of who he is about to face.
They proceed until a "The prisoner is here." marks the arrival to his destination.
Not surprised. If they wanted to just imprison him like a regular criminal, they would take him to the Imperial Prison, not the Palace.
"Let him in." To that, the men restraining him start to move again, then they violently throw him forward, making him fall.
He just kneels and prostrates himself.
"Leave us."
That voice gives him the same effect of being struck by a lightning, whenever he speaks.
"Ye, Jeonha!"
He hears the men leave the room. Although he can see, he can feel there is more than one person with him. He assumes it's the Sangseon.
After some moments... "Come sit with me."
He wishes he could have at least stayed in that position, but no of course. He stands up with a swift movement. His body is trembling a lot, that must be evident even for who is looking at him.
He walks very slowly, struggling to focus. He hates people to know he is blind and has this mental fixation he must hide it at all cost. In the last 15 years he learnt some tricks to look as if he could see. It's just harder when he is panicked.

As he feels to be close enough, he kneels down and covers that little space separating him from a short table. He keeps his head bowed down.
He hears a liquid being poured and shortly after the scent of tea hits his nose too. Something gets dragged on the table surface, closer to him.
"Have some tea", says LianBi.
Tero hesitates for a moment, but if there is one thing he knows is that when your Emperor, or King, tells you to drink, you drink even if you saw him pouring poison in your cup. Besides, if he wanted him dead, he would leave the job to Haru and HyunKi. Why would he want a corpse to dispose of, in his throne hall?
He bows his head and takes the cup, drinking the tea right away. It's delicious, perfect, one of the best he has ever had. It was meant to make him at ease perhaps, but it sure didn't work.
"You don't intend to say a word?"
The Emperor probably guessed by the fact he didn't greet nor thank him. The fact is that he fears someone could recognize his voice. He is being overcareful on that matter.
"I know you can speak, you apologized to me on the street of the village."
But he still doesn't intend to say anything.
"It won't be an issue, anyway."
After that, Tero can feel some movement near him and the noises of something wooden being dragged on the floor. He is not sure what happens, but struggles to keep calm, just remaining motionless in his pose.
Suddenly his hand gets grabbed, which causes him to jump. LianBi puts something in his hand.
"If you won't speak, you will write."
Great, just great. He is even left handed, there is no limit to how uncomfortable this will be for him.
Probably thinking he is trying to oppose resistance, the Emperor also placed the brush in the ink and then on the paper, moving Tero's hand.
"I suggest you answer honestly and don't try to lie. Also, every time you won't answer, it will be taken as an admission."
There we go. There was something in that tea, after all. Tero takes the border of the paper with his right hand, to try to orientate a little to write.

"What is your name?"
Hard question. But easy. He can't lie, he got it and doesn't fancy to test the effects. Luckily though, Joseon Princes had a sh*t load of names and be only used one, beside his 'nickname'. So, let's go for his birth name this time, that he sure never revealed to anyone.
[Bang-sul.]
"Family name?"
Damn. The Emperor knows Tero is a Lee and he is not yet sure how many Lee are there in the Empire. If he was the only one, that would awkward. Luckily though, languages are on his side. In Korea, Lee and Yi are the same surname. Written and spelled the same way, but in Teshing they are written using two different characters, so...
[Yi.]
"Yi Bang-sul. How old are you?"
Easy one, phew. [Thirty-three.]
"Are you a Shinobi?"
[Aniyo.]
"Are you related with Shinobi in some way?"
[Aniyo.] Assuming he meant if he was relative with them.
"Do you have some family?"
[Aniyo.] Considering that present Yang and JY are with present Tero and not him...
"Do you have a wife?"
[Aniyo!] Oook, maybe he shouldn't have given such an enthusiastic answer.
"You aren't into women?"
There we go. Oh well... [Aniyo.]
"You are fully into men, not even both?"
[Ye...] Wait, why the hell would the Emperor of Xhuanghen ask him such question??

Short, scary silence.

"Did you commit any crime?"
F*ck. With capital F. He can't lie and if he doesn't answer it will be the same as saying yes... His hand starts to tremble even more than before. [Ye...]
"Did you steal?"
[Ye.]
"Out of desperate need?"
[Aniyo.]
"Did you kill?"
[Ye.]
"In war?"
[Aniyo.]
"Out of self defence?"
[Not only...] Oh Gods, how f***ing screwed am I... - he thinks. He totally lost focus by now and can't imagine what a mess the paper must be. He can't keep track of where the previous ideogram ends anymore.
"Have you ever raped someone?"
[Ye...]
”Have you betrayed me in any way or context?"
[Aniyo...] At least one he didn't commit!
"Have you ever harmed innocent people?"
[Ye.]
Snickers. He hears snickers. What in the holy f*ck? The Emperor finds it funny?
"You have done everything that is bad..." LianBi says, still sounding amused. But then turns scarily seriously. "And you aren't even joking. Half of the crimes you committed are worth death sentence."
He feels so petrified now. Mainly because he can't understand. He summoned him all the way there just to check if he had committed some crime worth execution? What was it, needed to entertain the people and the prisons were empty?
"Take him away."

He is hyperventilating bad, but doesn't fight not even when someone grabs him by arm and forces him to stand up. This time, the person dragging him is one, more gentle and surely not wearing an armor. If it's a Sangseon it must be Ryuke...

He is left in a spacious place. It's warm and clean, no straw on the floor... it can't be the cell he was in before. He is pretty sure to be alone in the room, but he can't have proof of it, not until be manages to calm down and focus on his other senses.

Logistic.

For obvious reasons, the 5 hyungs were not located with the same person/family, since they need some attention and care, literally like an extra child of theirs.

For some it was like the end of the world, since they are especially tied to each other or to someone in particular, like MinKi and Aron, although they have discording opinions on the matter.
Even if they had wanted to listen to their personal preferences, it wouldn't be easy since...
Aron wanted to be with Tero.
MinKi wanted to be with Aron.
Awut wanted to end up with a woman.
YoungMin wanted to follow JJ.
JJ absolutely didn't want to be followed by YM.
Aeon absolutely refused to be together with MinKi.

In the end, they were assigned on this scheme:
- Goryeo Kings Jeongjong and Chungseon, as proposed, were entrusted to Hu Seonjang family;
- Young KiTae was entrusted to his oldest sister;
- JJ and MinKi were left to the care of Yung family, under the responsibility of General Yung;
- Awut, to his luck and greatest joy, was sent to Ding family, under the the care of General Ding;
- Aron and YoungMin were entrusted to the Commandant, he couldn't escape that;
- Tero, as last remaining, was sent to the one everybody else begged not to be entrusted to, for who knows what reasons: Yang.

At school, the group of humans is just as different as in every other context. Tero, Awut and Aron have the perfect attitude for popular guys/bullies, also since some of them are older than 14th grades students, JJ is a typical need but not of the kind who is top marks, just lick ass and decent effort. MinKi is just the hot girl, while YoungMin is the true swot.
None of them seem to mind school too much. They seem to have adapted fairly well, except from Tero who keeps acting weird and not looking too well. He went from looking like under horrible pain to look like in-between during and drugged. Even during classes.
