Monarch: The Butterfly

Name: Monarch

Age: Varies, usually late teens or early twenties but she can go older if need be

Gender: Female

Species: Uh...

Personality: Monarch shapes up to be perhaps one of the world's most successful assassins, she has a young rather sweet looking face if you don't mind the colors, could perform a silent take down in her sleep, and has twice the amount of arms for twice the amount of weapons she can carry. She could be so dangerous... The problem (if you see this as a problem) with this theory is that Monarch has no motivation to do such things. She lost her personal memories up until recently and is trying to make herself a new life in a world that isn't really accepting of whatever the hell she is.

Something that mildly disturbs Monarch though is that despite the fact that her brain forgot whatever she went through to become such a skilled fighter she muscles didn't. Muscle memory is real it seems, and each carefully placed step Monarch takes is evident of that. She has knowledge on how to kill, disarm, and take down foes of many sizes but has no idea how she learned these things, just the end results. There's no use wondering though, while Monarch knows these skills may come in handy one day for now she's going to try to live a relaxing life. Some how.

Bio: She’s got amnesia. But wherever she was from, it wasn’t nice.

Current Residence: Under a bridge

Equipment: When Monarch first came to she had four butterfly knives on her, poetic if you ask her. She holds on to them, doing tricks when bored.

Abilities: Monarch has an almost supernatural skill when it comes to fighting and spotting weaknesses in her enemy's defense.

Physical Enhancements: Four arms, all with perfect control. Need I say more?

Weaknesses:
-Well, for one Monarch cannot even begin to pass for a human, not easily at least. Her pigment is a problem for starters, then there's the fact that she has four shiny arms and butterfly wings.

-Aside from looking cool Monarch's wings are useless, she can flutter them slightly but cannot use them for flight. She's been considering cutting them off just to get rid of the hassle, but doesn't know how to got about doing so.

-Maybe this doesn't count as a weakness but Monarch's got a soft spot for energy drinks. Like a really soft spot. It's an unhealthy addiction she's got there.

Theme Song: www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZP1MaixqsU&t=0s

Quote: “I know the best angle to stick a knife to reach an adult man's heart with the least amount of resistance but don't even know my birth date. But really, that's not a problem. One of these things is a useless fact and the other could save my life one day."

Yeah I know she looks really edgy, that is not my intention at all though so she will not be written like a depressed edge lord.

Vitra: An Excitable Elderthing

Name: Vitra
Age: N/A appears as an adult
Gender: Female

Abilities: Vitra is a shapeshifter, capable of manipulating a limited amount of matter as if it were her own body. This matter seems to appear and disappear when used or disabled, though according to Vitra it is always present, just spread out enough that it seems to cease to exist, each atom an inch apart from the next. She’s able to call it together quickly, adding it to her body allowing her to change her shape, adding armor, creating whip like tendrils, or even just making her hair longer. Her entire body is the result of her using this matter to resemble a human.

Biography: Little is known about Vitra, even to herself. Her true “self” is the gem embedded within her chest, her body is little more than a vessel that carries her true form. Vitra’s true form drifted through the stars for untold millenia, she isn’t quite sure how long her travels were though. While Vitra was “alive” as the floating gem she wasn’t really aware the way a human is aware. Eventually due to several lucky hits with asteroids and earth’s gravitational pull Vitra landed on earth. In the ocean. Over multiple centuries Vitra slowly washed ashore and was one day picked up by a young human who kept her as a pretty memento. Years passed and the young human, now a full grown woman was organizing her house when she touched Vitra. This alone wouldn’t have done much, but the woman had a cut on her hand. One that was bleeding and soon the blood made contact with Vitra. The DNA of a human altered something within the consciousness of Vitra and suddenly, an orange and teal humanoid with a purple orb in its chest was staring the woman in the eye. That didn’t go over well and Vitra quickly fled, she spent a while trying to understand the DNA that woke her up and eventually managed to create an almost normal looking person. Now Vitra lives in a city far away from the woman who found her, doing her best to play human though it’s kind of difficult. What with her unnerving eyes… Her glowing chest… The fact that sometimes tentacles sprout from her arms when she’s emotional… Among other things. Aside from that, she’s normal!

Personality: Vitra is a strange creature, she’s two entities at once vying for dominance. On one hand there’s her old self, the drifting gem but on the other hand there’s her current self, the emotional human. The DNA of the woman who found her altered more than just Vitra’s preferred physical form, it changed her very consciousness. She’s human now, mentally at least. She has difficulties remembering what it was like in her old form saying “it’s like remembering a dream you only partially knew you had.” All she knows is her old self would like to take control again, but she’s not about to let that happen. Aside from her identity issues Vitra is a cheerful woman who enjoys playing human. She imagines she’ll continue to do so until the human race goes extinct, at that point she would simply let her old self take over and once again float through space. Vitra has also taken up playing local vigilante, stopping the occasional robbery, preventing kidnappings, small scale stuff but she can only imagine what it’s like to save the world.

Strengths:
-Vitra’s “body” (or rather vessel) does not have the internal organs of a human, it really has no organs at all. Everything important is contained in the gem on her chest so she can lose an arm or a head and regenerate it just fine which is why she can turn her limbs into different shapes with no pain. That also means she doesn't have to eat or drink, she does have to sleep though.

Weaknesses:
-It is impossible for Vitra to use her shapeshifting powers to completely cover up the gem on her chest, though she can wear clothes to hide it. The faint glow that emanates from under her tops though give it away. This means she cannot ever be inconspicuous unless she wears multiple layers.

-Because the gem in Vitra’s chest is for lack of a better world her brain, body, and soul all wrapped into one it’s her weak point. It is incredibly hard and will not break easily but powerful blows made directly to it hurt her. Bad. A sledgehammer to the gem is enough to knock her out, when that occurs her body dissipates leaving only the unconscious gem behind.

-When Vitra sleeps for long periods of time (over three hours) her fake body will begin to break down, leaving only her gem behind. This can occur when she is unconscious or even when she takes an unusually long nap.

-Vitra’s thought process has been altered to resemble a human’s. Because of this she is susceptible to telepathic attacks that would impact a human.
