IAs, round 2.

Eventually, at the 10th audio message from his grandfather, he heads to the headquarters of the Imperial Assassins to repeat the test. He goes all alone, riding his fairy steed across the skies to reach Shiirhuang. He will never, ever approach a teleporter again for the rest of his life, no matter how well trained he became.

Naturally, going on horse takes a while, no matter how even his riding skills have improved hugely and can ride much faster than before.
He reaches his destination after a couple of hours, sends his steed away to wait and walks inside the headquarters.
Little to no talking and he is in the courtyard in front of the person supposed to test him. An unknown IA, one of the worst.

WonPil has no intention to join and he knows that Sao wants it, after seeing what he learnt from the Seelie. To make sure it won't happen, he has only one choice: suck, get overly humiliated.
He pretty much lets the IA massacre him, acting like he can barely even try to dodge in the right direction, all under Sao's death stare.
Eventually, the General approaches and grabs WonPil by neck, roughly pulling him aside that way. "It was all a farce of those fairies, wasn't it? They replaced you with someone else on the challenge?"
He can't answer, just remains silent in hope that Sao will take it for a confirmation that it was all an illusion of some sort.

He shouldn't have gone all alone.
After receiving an extra beat up and a good dose of insults from his grandfather, WonPil leaves the headquarters and gets on the street.
Before he could put some distance, he gets a premonition: Sao sent someone for a suprise attack, for an extra proof that WonPil wasn't tricking him.
He sighs and continues walking slowly even when he knows a blade is on the way to his shoulder, stopping only after it pierces his skin.
At that point, though, an Imperial Guard intervenes and pushes the IA away from WonPil, getting into an argument.

WonPil holds his shoulder with hand, barely reacting to the wound and proceeds on his way.
* He can either be already in Shiinden or in Shiirhuang.

Caelean.

He indeed manages to see a glimpse of RuYin's reflection in the mirror and by now, he knows a thing or two about mirrors, since they are closely related to the magic of his element.
While RuYin was unconscious, he received a message, and after pondering for a bit, he took his decision on the matter.
He already wanted to go to speak to WuXin about that, but now that he saw that extremely suspicious and worrying reflection, he feels in a hurry to go to him and warn him. He has nothing against RuYin, he found it pleasant to spend time with him and would have liked to become friends, but he can't help to be worried. What if he is a spy from the Hori sect?

He leaves the House of Fox and heads to look for WuXin, reaching him where he is in that moment.

Moods.

After returning to Shiinden, LaNi insists on checking him once more, a full medical check up to make sure his body is really all right, as if he simply couldn't believe that WonPil is really healed.
Beside the average checks, LaNi also decides to work on developing a diet for him to follow to start getting some weight back, since he is underweight and that's never a good thing for auriold, even less for Knights or Avatars.
Finding things WonPil still finds appealing to eat is quite a challenge, but eventually LaNi says he gave enough material to make a proper diet.

While LaNi works on the diet, he is free to go, but get soon asked to go outside the Grand Temple. Someone wants to see him at all costs and can't come inside, so he is eventually convinced to go, even though he is scared and hesitant.
When he walks out, there is Xie, standing at some distance from the entrance.

Turning point.

The next morning, he gets out of the room early, before 5 am. He wears back his clothes from Earth and goes to wash the white hanfu and the underclothes from Cloud Recesses, that he folds and places back into the room he was given.

Done that, he waits for someone from ShengHuo Sect to wake up, carefully avoiding XueBao. Although he was said he is not a prisoner, he doesn't intend to speak to someone who will obstacle him, refuse to let him go or warn whole Shiinden even before he manages to make one step towards the exit.
His target is Qiren, when he sees him. He looks authoritative enough to have power, at least to let him go.

He has a brief, private talk with Qiren, simply telling him that he is healed and needs to leave. The old man wasn't told anything about not letting him go and since WonPil didn't do anything wrong, that he is aware of, he doesn't see why he shouldn't allow him to leave.
The teacher gives WonPil one of the jade jewels needed to pass through the barriers and points him the way.

WonPil leaves without warning anyone. All he does is write a paper that he leaves on the bed of the room in which he stayed, reciting | I have stuff to do. Mollayo when I will be back. |

Once outiside the last layer of barriers, he summons his fairy steed and mounts on it, taking off, hurrying to put some distance from Cloud Recesses.
After a very long flight, that takes almost the whole day, he reaches the destination he had in mind: the abandoned village in FengShii.
He lands down in the forest nearby and wears his cloth, before proceeding towards the village itself.
It's still day and there is almost nobody on sight, as most of the Nimox are night creatures.

He explores the village, being extremely cautious, and reaches the Qiu residence. There are some Nimox to surveil the entrance and the garden, but using some of the gadget from his cloth, he manages to trick them into following a mirrored reflection of himself in the opposite side, which allows him to get closer to the building.
There, he gets to see inside from some of the windows, but he can't stay for long. He sees that there is really many Nimox inside and the ones guarding the entrance are already on their way back, so there isn't much more that he can do, for now.

He hurries to leave the residence and then the village, returning to the forest to get on his mount and taking off again, this time to reach a city he has never even seen nor heard about, that isn't in Fenghshii.

Thing is, all the terrible things that happened to him also led to an actual empowerment; while he was alone or just with WonZi to death with all sort of illusions and hallucinations from his unstable mind, he was forced to react and therefore, to cultivate. Whole nights, every night, fighting against inexistent foes threatening him and his son.
He mastered the use of the Tarots entirely and due to his secondary element and the passive effect it has, it led to unexpectedly powerful and unique features, among which, communicating with the characters of the Tarots through dreams. And they reveal him things, that are not at all casual.

~ After riding for another hour or so, when the sun is by now making room to a cold and dark evening, the lights of the city he was looking for finally appear in the distance and he prepares to land.
He dismounts and leaves his fairy steed outside, also taking off his cloth. Instead of It, he wears the special headband he received in the House of Fox and finally walks through the city gates, proceeding on the main street.
It's the city where RuYin and the others met.

WonPil walks slowly among the people. Thanks to the headband, every person sees him with a different look, making him unrecognisable — unless using a mirror, as it's reflection will always show the truth.
He is heading towards an illegal gambling house, where he counts to meet someone useful.
