She is very willing to take Ciri under her wing to raise as her own because due to her fey lineage she is great with children.

It’s possible she is a child of either Kaguya-Hime (Kaguya-Hime no Monogatari), a Yuki-Onna or possibly a lovechild of the two that was left to be found in Gavaldon, she was found on the doorstep of Callis with only a name tag that read ‘Hanako-Hime’ and a small flower of unknown origin that only blooms in the moonlight on a clear snowy day only a few months after Agatha was found by the same woman. What was odd though was as soon as Callis took her in, every year on the same day until spring white tsubaki flowers would grow around her house from the dry and frozen soil as if by magic. Another odd thing was just a year before exactly on the day she was found, the stories of Yuki-Onna and Kaguya-Hime no Monogatari had appeared in Gavaldon, and every year for the winter solstice a brand new gown that appears to be similar to the ones that appeared in the stories ranging in different styles and colors appears on Callis’ doorstep as if it were a gift from her true parents. Hanako met Sophie while with Agatha one night while they were meeting in the graveyard and she instantly became friends with Sophie and the three girls have been inseparable since. Even on the night they were all kidnapped by the school master they cried out for each other and Agatha and Hanako would not leave each other's side. And after they were in the school the gowns arrived there every year. It was when she unlocked her finger glow that she found out who her true love would be.
One year instead of a gown she got a koto and a song book, every now and then she’ll get more songs with her gowns

YeNa had been born in Tir na Nog but when she was around 20 she had her powers bound and memories wiped before they left her in a vulnerable state to some human friends, this making her a changeling in a way. She had kids when she was around 155, but because of her condition she had no memory of her past so she kind of just appeared in Mystic Falls with little to no memory of who she was and only knowing that the kids were hers and that she had had human friends because of her phone.
