Doing the right thing can wear on you when you suffer the consequences of it and live with the waking nightmares of not allowing yourself to be broken to the point of betraying others. Many think this is noble and to a degree it is, it’s a level of loyalty not many are familiar with but claim to be. Loyalty comes with many sacrifices, that are seen and unseen I learned about that a lot in my ‘past life’. Yet when you think you have been taken to the brink and made it to the other side that is when the real tests begin. It was that that made me cause harm to another due to my distractions that if I’d only been present other avenues could have been available. But I got a chance that many never get, to be forgiven by the one I’d wronged by my own carelessness. That is a gift, I received when the world had taken nearly everything from me. A gift that gave my life a new purpose for getting up every morning. To know that I can speak for those that cannot.
To be human is to be flawed. Are you flawed? Do you live in the perfection of a world based on lies? Your lies are what makes you flawed and it’s your fear of judgment that is forever holding you back. Judgment comes for all of us, but the question is will it be merciful? That is up to you are you willing to peel back the layers and be truthful with the sins you have committed? Or are you comfortable blaming others for why you do the things that you do and for the lies that you’ve told? If you are you are what is wrong in this world. You are fine to sit back and allow even the simplest of atrocities play out before your very eyes and do nothing which makes you just as much to blame.
You think I’m saying that one must be perfect; no, because perfection does not exist only the illusion of it. An illusion I confront every day when I see a new lifeless shell on my table. I wonder sometimes what this person did, or what could this person have done not to wind here-at least not now. Death is the only constant in life, but it is how you die that makes the difference. Will you give your last drop of blood knowing they've righted a wrong or will you go out using with your last breath to lie with half-truths to save face? I will use your lies to exact the truth you weren’t willing to freely give. It’s all about the choices you make now. I should warn you should an innocent land on my table because of something you haven’t owned up to there is a game just for you.
