Hayden had always been a strange boy who gravitated towards the unusual. He was interested in stories of superheroes, magic, and mythical creatures. This led to him being bullied at school and made an outcast. When he graduated, Hayden went into History at his local college and moved away from his parents. On his first week at college, he explored the campus library and found a hidden section of the library that contained books of occult magic, dedicating himself to secretly studying magic.
When Hayden was adolescent, he took up studying wizardry; specifically apotropaic magic or Abjuration. From his abjuration wizardry, he is able to cast barriers, bind and ward off enemies or threats.
Hayden is knowledgeable in history due to his studies, while also in many other fields that are associated with his magic. Botany, symbology, and a few ancient languages are among his toolset. What he lacks are some social skills which makes him rather awkward in social situations, but makes up for his ability to talk his way into or out of something. If that doesn't work, he is skilled in his magic.
