Crime roleplay plots

Here I'll write any ideas I have, having to do with a criminal underworld.

A is the child of a powerful crime family. This family has connections all over and are involved in several operations, legal and illegal alike. Lately the family has had trouble: some of their members have been assassinated and their businesses have been messed with. The head of the family suspects that spies sent by a rival family have infiltrated their members and many cannot be trusted any longer. After a nearly successful attempt on A’s life, the boss decides that their child needs extra protection. They reach out to a trusted family friend to ask for help. This family friend recommends B.

What they don’t know however is that this family friend has been driven to a corner by the authorities and has agreed to help the police.
B is a detective, part of a special taskforce. The main purpose of this taskforce is to take down the crime family. So B goes undercover as a bodyguard for A. Their goal is to get close enough to gather evidence for their case.

B dislikes A at first because of their background and A doesn’t seem any more enthusiastic about having a babysitter. But the mutual hate slowly transforms into something else as they spend more time together and B has to protect A.

The roleplay takes place in a large city where power struggles are constant under the surface.

Character A was born to one of the most prominent and rich families in the city. This family had a lot of influence due to their wealth and political contacts. But this influence also meant enemies. A’s life was blissful until their late teens. One night their family estate was attacked and their family slaughtered. A was hidden by their mother and managed to escape as the only survivor. The attackers burned the family home to the ground and people assumed A perished in the fire. A had to disappear. They changed their name and their appearance as much as they could and went underground.

Meanwhile character B is from perhaps the most influential family as they hold the most power around the city B has managed to gain a position of considerable wealth and influence for themselves. A shows up in B’s estate, managing to get in as a maid. They have changed themselves enough to be unrecognized as the girl everyone thinks is dead. During the past few years A joined a rebel movement, aimed at taking down B’s family. Why? Because according to their intel it was B who ordered the destruction of A’s family.

A is out for revenge, trying to gather any information to take down B with as they work at the mansion. But soon feelings start to complicate the matter. It’s also possible that things aren’t quite as straightforward as they seem. Was it really B that was responsible for A’s family? Or is there a deeper conspiracy happening?
