Dean never stopped being a boy. Not taking the social cues that he must start his own life, his horizon is a series of "gap years". Jumping from couch to couch, pleading for one more week, his options are running out. Nowadays, it's only weeks until he's out on the streets.

Growing up hyper-religious and rejecting his parents beliefs, he was thrown out to the world with no support. He is both glad and regretful of this. The connection is severed. He is lone as long as he keeps this up.
