Short Bio: Barry Pine was born to the Pine family on August 18th. He had a lovely mother and mute father. But.. He didn't grow up like a normal child. He was born as a telepath. Being able to read people's minds and speak with the dead. This.. Obviously not being a common gift, he was forced to think he was was going insane. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia, and multiple-personality disorder. These.. False diagnosis made his mental state worse.

His whole life, not a single person believed him with his Telepathy. No one wanted to believe him.. Super Powers weren't real.. So there was no way in Hell he could have been able to read minds and speak with the dead. They all just assumed he had extremely lucky guesses and would suffer with schizophrenic episodes when he claimed he could see the dead. The Telepathy and Speak With Dead ability he had made him spent thirteen years in the mental hospital.

After his thirteenth year, four month, twenty-seventh day and fifteenth hour, he was finally discharged. Not because he was proved to be feeling better, but because he finally proved himself to be a Telepath. His Doctor has finally asked him to read her mind. And he did.. Every single part of her mind. This was the only way to prove he wasn't insane.. But.. She chose not to tell anyone. She only let him go on the promise he would still have to say that he was a schizophrenic. This understandably didn't make his life any better.

Three months after being discharged from the mental hospital, Barry moved to Manhattan, where he got a job at the New York Times as a Photographer. He quickly rose to be one of the most favorite photographers within the NYT, which is why his 'episodes' were chosen to be ignored. His mental state was obviously worsening.. But in a world where no one cared about him.. Where he had no friends.. No one to love.. No one to love him as his parents chose to stay away from him as his mental progression worsen, he only had the dead to keep him company.
