Fate of the Qiu siblings.

Name: Qiu HaoLin in Tang.
Age: 23 years old.
Job: …
Status: Widowed.
Residence: Somewhere isolated, in the mountains.
Current partners: None.

He could not escape his combined marriage. He was forced to marry a man over 20 years older than him, who didn't have any interest in treating him well.
He tried to escape and to avoid consummation, but all he got was to be beaten up by the TiHao variant that got him into that situation and then sexually abused by his "husband". Repeatedly.
(…)
He got widowed shortly after, as his husband was brutally massacred in front of his eyes.
The Tang of course kicked him out immediately, tried to blame him too for the death of his husband, but instead, the law was on his side and they were forced to pay a compensation to him instead.
With the money he received, he had a modest house built in a remote location he chose and he retired to live there alone ever since.

WonPil.

After receiving TiHao's apologises and explaining him that he is going to move to WonPil's house, he hastily packs up some clothes and other necessary personal items in his backpack and leaves.
Once in front of the gate of WonPil's house, he finds himself staring up at the huge Huli Jing standing on its roof. Windhopper doesn't even take his mask off and that, added to his behaviour, makes him rather threatening.

The ring of wind surrounding the walls outside the house is visible and it certainly worries HaoLin. He doesn't know what effects it could have, but he is determined to check on his appa and help him.
With hesitation, he approaches the gate a little and bows to the Huli Jing, showing himself as respectful as possible. Since Windhopper doesn't react, HaoLin proceeds to walk through the ring. He feels an extreme cold while crossing it, but nothing else happens. He is particularly surprised, as in normal circumstances he never feels the cold.
In TiHao's case, the ring was like an impenetrable barrier that simply made it impossible for him to proceed inside.
Unlike it happened to Hoseok. When he tried to cross it, the ring pushed him away with shocking violence, hurting him and causing him to fly of several metres before crashing into the ground. Same fate would have awaited BangSul, if he had been less of a pathetic person with no guts to even try to face WonPil after everything he did to him.

HaoLin notices immediately that the door of the house was literally ripped off and due to it, a lot of water from the heavy rains dropped inside, flooding the visible part of the living room.
It's his first time in that place, he has no idea what it was supposed to look like, in normal state, but what he could see even before stepping inside is enough to make his heart hurt.
He can't take his boots off, because as he gets closer to the entrance he can see that the entire living room floor is covered by several centimetres of water. And not just that. Everything is broken, demolished. It looks as if a nuclear battle had been fought in there.
Couch, table and any furniture literally broken into shards, mixed with the water and broken glass everywhere. The feeling he has gets worse and worse, seeing what was done to his dad's home. And thinking that WonPil felt that he had no other place to return to, other than that broken place, nor any person he could trust, makes him start to cry right away, silently.
He really learnt a few, depressing lessons in the last months and they will condition his entire development into teens age.

Proceeding into that devastation, HaoLin reaches the corridor. There he finally sees WonPil, lied down on the only clean spot on the floor, covered in a blanket, asleep or passed out, he wouldn't be able to tell.
Intending to find at least a pillow or another blanket, since the house is probably cold - he can't really tell -, the boy enters both the bedrooms, just to find even more devastation. BangSul couldn't even leave one of those miserable straw pillows intact. Mattresses, bed frames, closet… even the clothes were barely recoverable in that sticky mess.
The only thing he managed to save was WonPil's treasure box. It was hidden under the bed, so BangSul didn't notice it.

Feeling overwhelmed, devastated and disappointed, HaoLin returns the spot where WonPil is sleeping and lies close to him, wrapping his arms on his appa. He understands right away that his father won't need him only for a few days, but probably a very long time.

While others celebrate the gift his dada gave them, with the total awareness that if WonPil could ask for hundreds of people to be resurrected, he could have asked for literally anything else, including restoring things as they were before Hori Sect changed time or getting his own TiHao and children back, HaoLin stays in that broken house to help his dad with everything.
In the first days, WonPil doesn't even manage to eat on his own.
All alone, while his appa couldn't move from his improvised bed, he starts to clean the house. Disposing of all the rubbles, the water, the trash and dirt. A huge amount of work, that he does without asking for help to anyone.
It takes him weeks to clean everything and the result is: a completely empty house.
And for all the months that it takes WonPil to get back on his feet, HaoLin continues to take care of him. Cooking, cleaning, getting whatever errands done, helping his dad to eat, go to the bathroom, wash. All while sleeping on the ground next to him, every night with no comfort.

Amelis, through Johnny, Oliver and Jackil, keeps sending her usual boxes of gifts that, combined with Windhopper's hunting, fishing and foraging, make sure they never lack food, at least. And HaoLin does his best to learn how to cook more things, while also applying what he learnt from TiHao and WonPil when helping them to cook in the past.
Hoseok too, actually started to send very unwelcome boxes of gifts which HaoLin, punctually, went to donate to the poor.
Since Hoseok has quite a natural tendency to obsessive behaviours, he continues to show up at their home very often, but never managing to convince Windhopper, no matter how honest his apologises or how pure and right his intentions. Kitsune, especially the ancient ones, aren't reasonable and understanding, let alone fair creatures. And if Windhopper says no, he will watch an immortal die of old age before changing his mind.

It takes three years for WonPil's wounds to heal entirely and that's only on the visible side, the wounds closing. They both leave strange, colorful scars on the skin, to add to WonPil's collection, but the damage those weapons caused, from the magic poisoning, is permanent.
As soon as WonPil was able to, he returned to help with the house chores, but he had to quickly realise that he is much weaker than he used to be. He gets tired extremely fast and struggles in any activity requiring strenght.
His cloth is shattered and gone forever. His powers inexistent. He is no longer a Knight under any point of view. Even of the natural powers of Huli Jing there is barely anything left. He is like a human with a bunch of tails he can't hide, either willingly or unconsciously, and with no longer any chance to reach the final form of 9 tailed. Stuck at 8, forever.

(Present time.)

HaoLin eventually stayed with WonPil for all the five past years and with no intention to leave his side, even now. (While still being in contact with TiHao, visiting him several days per week and joining the family activities with him and his siblings, as said in the comment. Only HaoLin, not WonPil.)
He helped to refurnish the house of the minimum necessary to at least live. WonPil would have really liked to build those things, but he found himself unable to and HaoLin didn't know how to do that. They had to spend the money WonPil was saving, but bought quality beds and indoor bathroom.

Hao also followed his decision of not returning to Shiinden school. He can't help but feel disappointed and since he is no longer living with TiHao, and doesn't want to bring new people in WonPil's home, both because his dad wouldn't feel comfortable for it and he doesn't know how Windhopper would react, on Riddle's suggestion, he decides to attend Malicedom.
Now that WonPil can handle himself, and that he hit the age of 10, he can start the first year of the northern school. Naturally returning home every day after lessons.

WonPil didn't return to work for TiHao as nanny nor he had any other kind of job in those five years. He avoided people and didn't show up in public, ever. He never left his home at all.
And even right now, the idea of seeing people, who aren't his children, or even just consider to try to approach someone again makes him sick. The only person he can tolerate outside his children is Windhopper, who is still inhabiting their home and acting like their guardian.
Hoseok continues to come and send gifts, no matter what.
BangSul has never tried to contact them.

HaoLin had the chance to cultivate quite a dose of resentment in those years. He even tried to ask Johnny for help to prosecute BangSul and Hoseok for what they did to his father, even what he still wasn't revealed up to this date. The lawyer tried to, but ended up in front of a bunch of dead ends and shut doors: nobody in the Empire would mess up with Zhou. And BangSul is the leader of the Imperial Guards, calling him out would be pointless as he'd have to be the one to order investigations against himself.

×××

After making the memorial shrine for WonPil in his bedroom, without telling anyone and keeping it quite hidden, he simply acknowledged the fact that his dad is dead. He won't come back, no matter how much he needs him, and Hoo will never be able to replace him. He will never be his dad and he is certain that even if they tried to explain him the truth, he wouldn't understand a sh*t and, in case he did, he wouldn't believe them or just feel awkward. Who ever in the world would not, if someone suddenly came to them saying that, in another reality, they are their children?

HaoLin isn't even sure of how old could Hoo be, but it's evident he is not the same age as WonPil. It's hard to tell, due to how clueless he is about the civilized world, but he also lacks some mature behaviour.
Another thing that bothers him about the idea of making new memories with Hoo is that he fears that if he gets too close, the other might misunderstand. He assumes he is the first other - concrete, not magical - tailed person Hoo saw in his life, or in a long time, and he fears that it might make him attracted. And if Hao fears the idea of a partner, the thought of his 'dead father's twin' getting a crush for him is nightmare-worth.
Besides, he doesnt want to 'replace' WonPil. If he can't have him, he will just accept the fact he is dead and live accordingly. Even if it hurts him in ways he doesn't even fully manage to comprehend himself.
He still can't believe that when he said goodbye to WonPil, before going to the wilds, that would be his last farewell to him.

Since he learnt how to hide his tails like a pro and that the only person who could use the ingredients they found to make the rings is gone, he decides to return to school and… try to learn himself. He is not sure if he can go to Shiinden, in this reality, but assumes that there might be something in the library of the school. He also plans to attend some Luck classes, maybe ask the teacher, whoever it is. He also needs a distraction, to try to recover from the sorrow, but school might not be the best option.

Anyhow, he goes. He officially returns to school, attends his Life class, after finding out that the new teacher isn't even a Huo, and that far that good. Problem comes when he should go to his Virtues class. Despite having been in Cloud Recesses for that brief time and having been safe, he feels way too uncomfortable to face QiTan.
After long considerations and anxiety, he decides to do something he never even imagined he would ever do: skip a class.
He hurries to head outside the school, fearing to be seen by QiTan or his classmates, and decides to walk out of the gate, as if he was just done with his daily classes and heading back to where his parents would be waiting.

He has never left school like that, at most, he'd be the one staying there longer than intended, not the other way round. Anyone who knows him would find it hard to believe, it's as if Hermione did it.
He also knows that remaining in that small village puts him at risk to meet other school people who could recognize him, like WuXin, so he has to move somewhere else. He can't return home or the adults would find out what be did and he doesn't fancy the idea of TiHao getting angry.
Therefore, he does another thing that he would normally not do: teleport on his own.
He goes to Suhyen, where he is kind of sure to be safe. Besides, he felt like to be close to the sea, in a neutral place that wouldn't remind him of his loss every inch.

Reached the beach, he sits on the sand, very close to the water. It's very cold, but he doesn't know. He can't feel it.
While lost on his thoughts, something absolutely out of the ordinary and unexpected happens: a big wave raises from the sea and smashes onto him. But it does more. HaoLin feels like something in the water is pulling him. And after being fully submerged, he sees something like a huge water-made creature heading towards him. It looks like a serpent dragon.
When close, it opens its jaws and moves as if intentioned to devour him. Though, when the impact should occur, the creature simply disappears. As if it got absorbed inside HaoLin's brother, instead of the opposite.

The child, half drowned, panicked and terrified frantically swims up to reach the surface, then the shores again. He has no bloody idea what that was or what just happened, but he is completely unharmed.
He starts to run like crazy to leave the beach, falling in the sand a few times, turning into a cutlet. Due to that matter, whoever was supposed to go to get him from school won't find him, as he got delayed and didn't manage to return there in time.

O8/O2.

Even if he regained conscious, after a couple of hours, as Lani estimated, he pretended not to.
He didn't feel ready to face anything, be it questions about why he 'disrespected' their dead 'father' or, if Elton didn't tell them about it, explain himself why his little brother got so mad.
He couldn't know of what was happening upstairs, with his whole family finally being revealed the truth about their situation.
He just remained in his bed, postponing as much as possible the time in which he would have to open his eyes and face the others.

Dad.

Eventually, the others had to arrive to their new home too. It can easily be guessed that Hoo's presence didn't please everyone. Elton simply showed displeasure, TiShan scolded TiHao for taking that unknown weirdo in. Are they really going to provide for that creature just because his brothers wanted so? He even proposes to take him to work at the brothel.
The behaviour of TiShan and Elton falls quite heavy on HaoLin, the fact they can't even recognise anything in WonPil anymore and they would even treat him badly so lightheartedly.

When the atmosphere calms down, they all move to their own rooms. It happened in the morning.
In the early afternoon, Hao finally walks out of his room and decides to eat something and also to see how Hoo is doing.
Taken some food from the kitchen, not seeing Hoo around, he moves to the table to eat and there he finds Elton, who is looking at pictures from an Instagram account.

A bit foolishly perhaps, Hao asks him whose pictures are those he is looking at and that simply… makes the little brother go bonkers. Of course those were pictures of YooJin, but since Hao has never seen that person before, he had no clue. He could have guessed, maybe, but in that moment it didn't touch his mind.
Elton literally jumps at him, making him fall from the chair and pins him to the ground, under his weight. Then starts to beat him up, simply too triggered, thinking Hai disrespected their dead father.
Although the poor Hao is trained in martial arts, he was caught unprepared and, due to the fact he was the only one conceived when TiHao had lost his Avatar powers, he is at all effects the weakest of his children. Elton, on the other hand, has Chaos as secondary element that makes him quite strong.

Hao manages to escape, after taking a few hits and a bad hair-pulling. He runs out of the main structure, heading to the basement to find shelter in his room. Elton chases him.
When Hao reaches the stairs that lead down, though, he ends up tripping on his own tails and falling all the way below. He hits his head and passes out, bleeding a bit too.
